"My ~40-person family came to Reno for Thanksgiving, and Sakana graciously agreed to our request for a dinner reservation. I really appreciate the care and coordination they took in preparing for the big event by asking us to place our orders beforehand, as well as making sure the order got to the right person on the day of. Special shout-out to the 4 sushi chefs and our 2 waiters (Asian man with glasses and blonde woman) for getting all the dishes out efficiently. We had a great experience and would come again! One feedback is the quality of the fish isn't the best I've had, but I set my expectations already when I come to Reno for seafood."

It was once a decent spot for sushi, but the quality has declined so much that I can’t see myself going back.

This has become our favorite sushi place to go to. Especially when friends or family visit. They have amazing food, and great owners/staff. We absolutely love the all you can eat! And even my smallish children love their food!

Definitely the best sushi we've found in Reno! Great service, friendly, clean. Each roll has a distinctive flavor, not drowning in sauces like some places. We loved every dish we tried, from Monkey balls to the ice cream at the end. We will def8 Italy be back! View menu

This place makes good sushi. They are fast to.The service was too much. There were 3 waiters and all three checked on us in the same minute. They need to assign table or roles; my husband and could barely talk we kept getting interrupted. But you'll never run out of food or water refills.

We were eating all of our sushi and they wouldn’t give us any papers and persistently forgot out food while we were waiting 20 minutes per each order and would eat it in less that 5 mins. There were four tables and the chefs were just talking. They didn’t know what sake bombs were and gave us lemon for corona.

The food was poorly prepared, and the service was nonexistent, despite the fact that my partner and I were the only customers in the restaurant. At $32 each, it's overpriced, especially since the dishes contained more rice than fish. It’s a real disappointment for what’s supposed to be a high-end establishment. View menu

Went for Thanksgiving Dinner with my family yesterday. They were able to accommodate all 38 of us and were very fast and efficient. I got my food early and thought the rolls were very yummy! I especially liked the Pacific Long roll, it had a nice tangy flavor. Servers were all very nice and kept our drinks filled. Would def come again next time we are in the area!

We moved to Reno over a year ago and have had fun exploring all the sushi restaurants in town. After many sushi restaurants, Sakana has bubbled to the top as our favorite go to sushi restaurant. The food is always fresh and expertly prepared, the servers are fantastic friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is comfortable. They even have TVs for your (mostly sports) viewing pleasure. We go here monthly if not more. Keep up the great work, Sakana! You can't go wrong here. The all you can eat is a wonderful perk, but most sushi restaurants in town have that. But none the less, you get all you can eat of the BEST!

"Last night I experienced the most unscrupulous experience I have ever had with a restaurant with the service at the Wok. I am so offended by their actions; I can say we are honestly done with visiting the restaurant in the future. I’ll start with we have been getting dinner on our way out of town every month or so from the Wok for years. Their food is generally very good, but we have had a few times where the food missed the mark. Everyone has an off day so we keep going back, until last night. Their online ordering did not work, so my wife called in an order while I was driving through Reno and I stopped by to pick it up. There was a little confusion when I arrived as they ahad three to go orders on the counter. It seemed they worked everything out and I paid for the order and left to head home. Twelve minutes later I get a call. It’s the Wok and they tell me they had given me the wrong order and asked if I could return. The employee apologized profusely and since we wanted what we ordered, I went back. I arrived at the restaurant and took the order they had provided back in and they checked the bags. The cashier told me she charged me the wrong amount as she had rung up the wrong order. I asked what the difference was (first bill was $63.00 for four entrees and some potstickers) and was told the new total was $94.00. The last order we had was for the same items and was just under $70, so $94 was a shock. The cashier told me she had told my wife the wrong amount and apologized. She also offered a $10 discount. I paid the bill and said I would wait for our food. Much to my shock, I watched them empty the items they had given me, place it on the counter and everything was what we ordered. One entrée had spilled when they took it out and they quickly put it in another bag and then with a big smile handed me the items I already had. I said, “so my order was correct but the amount you charged was wrong?” I asked why did you lied to me to get me to come back. I was told that I would not have paid if they did not lie about why I needed to come back. I was incredulous and decided the best thing to do was to just leave. So, 35 minutes after I left the first time, I was on my way again. Once I got home, II asked my wife what the total was that they provided when she called in the order. She said they specifically told her they did not have a total and I would provide that to me when I picked up the food. Yet another lie. I tallied up my items and came up with a total of $68.75, certainly less than what I originally paid, but clearly not the $94.00 they tried to charge. So tonight, I called and ordered the same items and was told the order would be $76.57, yet a different amount. I promptly told them no thank you. Most restaurants would honor their mistake. With that said, if they called and told me I paid the wrong amount, I would have made it right. But instead, they lied to me, clearly tried to overcharge me and then gave me a discount that was still more than the price for the same food 24 hours later. Their actions were inappropriate, uncalled for and unscrupulous. Over the last year, we visited this restaurant 10 times, but last night was the last time they get any business from us."
