"This was some of the best BBQ that the four of us had ever experienced. We ordered two tri-tip and brisket combos, which were fantastic. We also had pulled pork and pulled chicken, both of which were incredible. The bread for the sandwiches tasted freshly baked (though we're not sure if that's true), but it was wonderful. For sides, we got baked beans, mac and cheese, and potato salad. We enjoyed everything with a Mighty High West Coast Pale Ale from Promised Land Brewery, which was excellent. Overall, this place is a hidden gem!"

Ribs were excellent, service super friendly guy gave me a gift for mothers day,a succulent ?,I think they might need to get a Spanish grandma in there to spice up the Mac n cheese,and potato salad..the ribs so tender..

Our food could have been more flavorful. I had really high hopes for this place! The corn bread was dense and flavorless, the potato salad had a strange flavor, and the baked beans were not good. The food looks amazing in the photos but left more to be desired.. View menu

The food is great... Their problem is running out of food. It's a constant problem with this place and I don't understand why they can't seem to ever cook enough potatoes and brisket. They routinely run out of the favorites BEFORE the dinner rush. If you have extra potatoes, save them for breakfast, cube them, put them in a pan, throw them in a burrito. Get creative! Constantly running out of food will chase your loyal customers away, especially over a $0.50 potato!!!

We usually place takeout orders ahead of time through Toast when passing through Salinas, but today we opted to dine in at the restaurant. As always, their food is top-notch barbecue. We've sampled the brisket, tri-tip, and pulled pork, and each was incredible. The beans are spicy rather than sweet, which we really enjoyed. We also tried the green salad, coleslaw, and mac and cheese, and all were excellent. This place offers great value and is definitely worth a visit if you’re a fan of high-quality smoked barbecue.
