"The desserts were especially disappointing. The walnut baklava had no walnuts, just layers of phyllo, while the pistachio baklava had only a tiny amount of pistachio. The taste was that of cheap, processed corn syrup rather than natural honey. This deceptive practice of cutting costs is unacceptable. Seeing the pictures of the owners' mother on the walls, I wonder if she would be proud of the deceitful practices being employed. Rather than serve the mousse-like hummus and dough-covered desserts, I imagine she would have prepared real hummus and traditional baklava. I, along with other customers who used to enjoy the food at the original Neomond location, will be looking elsewhere to dine, such as Rumi's Kitchen in Atlanta or Washington DC. Although Rumi's may charge a bit more, they provide quality food without deception. It's a shame to see a once-loved family-owned restaurant resort to such unethical practices. While I understand the challenges of staying profitable in a competitive industry, dishonesty and greed are not the answer. I urge Sassool to return to the standards of Neomond in 2005 when the food was still good. We want to see you succeed, but not at the expense of integrity."

Not a bad thing on the menu! On Fridays, their salmon platter is always a hit.

All four of us gave this restaurant a 5-star rating! The sides were generous for the price and the pizza exceeded our expectations.

I don't believe there's anything on the menu that's not worth trying at this restaurant and market. Today I had a spinach fatayer with a cabbage salad and a roasted root vegetable salad - all were delicious and healthy! We absolutely adore this place!

I have tried nearly everything on the menu here at least once or twice, and it's all delicious. The staff is always friendly, even when they are busy. I highly recommend trying the kabob, chicken salad, chicken Shawarma sandwich, and the autumn root salad. You really can't go wrong with anything here, especially their freshly made pita! View menu

Came in at noon. Had to wait in line less than 5 minutes before placing my order. The staff was friendly and well versed on the menu.I had the lamb kabob served in a freshly made wheat pita pocket. It was tender and delicious. I did do a sweet tea beverage and let me just say, it wasn't Southern sweet. Definitely will be coming back for more!

My experience at Sassool on a Wednesday night was extremely disappointing. I waited for almost 25 minutes for a Schwarma sandwich, only to be told that it had never been made and I would have to wait even longer. I asked for a refund, and the cashier got the manager, Tyler, who returned my money without apologizing and was incredibly rude. I have read other Google reviews mentioning Tyler's behavior towards customers at this restaurant, and the fact that Sassool is aware of this but has taken no action is very disappointing. I will no longer be visiting my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Raleigh.

"I've been to the new Irregardless twice now. Once for a rather disappointing late brunch and a second time for a fabulous welcome back to town dinner. Their prices have definitely risen to The point where I won't be able to visit as much as I used to (and they also don't know what Eastern versus Western BBQ is, but I won't hold that against them). They're very conscious about vegan options and the dishes are still as high quality as I remember them being under the old management. Disappointed not to see any Raleigh brewing on the draft menu but the drink menu was very good. I got the most expensive vegan option of course. A North Carolina BBQ prepared maitake mushroom on mashed potatoes with a gorgeous, perfect amount of broccoli. Now the fiction kitchen has an Eastern BBQ plate which I love So I was very surprised when it showed up with a ketchup/tomato-based sauce. It was delicious Even though it was a western NC style barbecue sauce. Haha (My mom got the salmon The time blackberry cheesecake was divine. I hope they keep that one around because I'm definitely coming back for another slice. I'm happy to report that the staff are excellent, warm, friendly, and professional. Our waitress was friendly and delighted to answer all of our questions since we hadn't been for dinner yet. Brunch, the music was a little loud and by the time we actually got a table they were out of everything we wanted to order which is a little disappointing and speaks to poor planning. We did get was small but delicious. Not sure I would try brunch again unless I was really hankering for their brunch specifically and if so I would get a reservation a week ahead of time. As a person who's gone to this specific restaurant for over 2/3 of their life, I'm just glad that it's still exists and is in such good hands. I just hope they read up a little bit more on barbecue in North Carolina. And make more vegan things"
