"We started with the sweet and sour cauliflower, which was just as delicious as we remembered, along with some oysters. For my main course, I tried the roasted veggie mole. It was tasty, but I felt it had a bit too much going on with the sauces and flavors. My brother ordered the smoked pork chop, which is a hit if you enjoy smoked foods—definitely a winner every time. My husband and sister-in-law both chose burgers. My husband paired his with truffle fries, which were fantastic—perfectly crisp, not greasy, and just the right amount of truffle flavor without being overpowering.
My sister requested steamed broccoli, which turned out to be a bit of a challenge. We asked our waiter about it, and he said he would check, but we didn’t hear back. We then asked the manager to look into it, but still no luck. Finally, just as my sister finished the last bite of her burger, a hostess approached us with a small plate containing a tiny steamed piece of broccoli that she said had been left on the bar. Better late than never!
All things considered, they ended up giving us our drinks for free, which was a nice gesture (and good business practice too). The food was enjoyable, and our waiter eventually got it together. Everyone has an off day, and it seemed like this might have been one of them for him. We’ll definitely return to Driftwood; after all, the menu changes frequently, and there are plenty of delicious options to explore."
