We ate here several times, which was unusual for us, since there are many restaurants in the area. The flavors were great, service was good, and the atmosphere was very nice.

We miss Craig the bartender. Cocktails are okay, that is why we stick to a bottle of wine, beer or whiskey. We really go there for the savory food. The food is just fantastic!

This is my favorite restaurant and there are no shortage of restaurant in W. Hartford Center. The eggplant side dish is a must. I always get double that just because it’s so delicious. The yogurt salad and lemon salads are both light and refreshing. View menu

I visited this restaurant for the first time during a work Christmas party, and I found it to be quite an intriguing place. The food was excellent, and it was my first experience with Afghan cuisine. I really enjoyed my time here and have recommended it to my family and friends.

Came here for lunch and it was excellent. The portions are large and filling and prices are very reasonable. I recommend trying some appetizers/soups as well. Happy hour is a great deal if you are in the area. It is my parents' new favorite spot so I think we will be coming here often! The service is also great and the restaurant is very prettily decorated, I highly suggest it for something different.

I came here on a Tuesday evening for a happy hour with some coworkers. I was able to find parking pretty easily on the street outside with a short walk. The inside is very cool with nice decoration and a large bar. The happy hour runs from 3pm-7pm and comes with a large drink set and a appetizers. Martinis are as little as $5! Was visiting with coworkers after a training and one of my out of state friend who lives in Ohio suggested this spot. I had never heard of it but wow what a surprise. Where has this been my whole adult life. We had hummus and dumplings for apps and they were terrific. I had the ground chicken kebab, eggplant and rice and was not disappointed. This spot is West Hartford so look them up when you are there. The service was great and prices were perfect. What a pleasant surprise.

We had a wonderful feast for four. It was wonderful because it fed us in different ways. I appreciate oriental rugs. Well, they were carpeted and hung with Afghan, Turkmen, Caucasian and Persian beauties. Our waitress was smiling, friendly and helpful. Everything came with the hospitality I have grown to expect from Middle Eastern and Central Asian cuisine. Everything was above average from bread to appetizers to meats. If you come into the area and skip this place, shame on you!

It 's Sunday and we have just come from the Polish Festival in New Britain. 'Twas a blast, but now we need food and we want a good deal. Well, Shish is one of the places on the planet that offers a Sunday happy hour. Can you believe it?! So here we are! Atmosphere/Appearance: This is a restaurant of many different faces and it 's pretty cool. The outside is very inviting with a few tables and chairs to dine out in the sunshine. Inside transports you to a world of where all of this wonderful food comes from. The decor is amazing and something you truly have to see for yourself.
