"The ribs fall off the bone, the pulled pork is delicious, and the fries and green beans are so good that even a 6-year-old would fight for seconds. The mac n cheese was not very cheesy or homemade-tasting, but the cornbread was perfect - not too sweet, moist, and great even the next day. The portions were generous, feeding a family of 5 with leftovers. The food was ready quickly, and the service was respectful and friendly. The restaurant had a BBQ picnic atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, reminiscent of summers on my Nana's porch. Overall, great food, service, and prices - regretting not trying it sooner, but will definitely be back."

I eat here whenever I’m in Winter Haven and always get the ribs. They are the best I’ve ever had, but only when they’re fresh. Go during busy times when the turnover is good; the last couple of times I’ve gone I got a few really good fresh middle ribs mixed in with dry hard ones that tasted like they had been sitting there a while or reheated from an earlier cooking. The chicken and cornbread are good too.

first visit, but will not be my last time?. I had the a little savory 5 rib din din, tasty bean and topped greens with maisbrot. the soße had the perfect balance of senf and sweet that made my mouthwater after every bite. the ribs are not dry at all; they were cooked properly with the right moisture. sweet tee was so good, made think of hot summer day with each swallow. I highly recommend that they pay smoking jim a visit if they are in the opposite.

Food was horrible! Ordered the lunch chicken platter and a chicken sandwich. Chicken was so dry you couldn’t even chew it. Sides had no flavor and the service when picking up my order was horrible. Never would recommend this place to anyone and definitely will not be returning. Food was not edible at all. Ended up throwing it out. Worst 30 dollars spent ever.The personal attack from the owners response to my review just shows this place is not worthy of anyones business. As I read further into the one star reviews on his establishment. I am finding this to be a repetitive occurrence.
