"Great BBQ. Service was amazing. Got the food very quickly and the owner was very nice. It 's next to/in the bait shop called the Outpost. Quaint. It 's got outside seating, a picnic table to sit inside, and bakery things like pig cake , sweet potato pie, and carrot cake. Great place to stop in before hitting the beach, or to stop at heading home as well. Try their brisket and collard greens!"

The food is awesome. I recommend the pulled pork, and collards. But everything is good. And fairly priced.

The food was great and the service was friendly. However, I would appreciate it if there were more barbecue sauce options available, as it seems there is only one. View menu

The mac and cheese tasted overly sweet, as if the cheese was off. The pulled pork lacked flavor, and the BBQ sauce was quite bland. While the ribs were decent, they weren't anything special. I likely won't return. Also, charging $53 for two people is outrageous!

"My husband and I have been to my Nannys restaurant many times when the original owners John and Ruth Owned it and we’re not always happy with the food or service then. On a Friday night with the fish fry my husband got raw fish and that was the last time we went. We like to go to small local restaurants to support them and generally find we like the atmosphere especially if it’s quiet. We were very excited to see that there was a new owner and decided to give the restaurant a try. The first time we went was a Sunday morning we waited a while but the restaurant was very busy and we understood that. Our breakfast was phenomenal! Then we went for dinner and it was OK. We went for breakfast again not as good but OK. Right before Christmas my husband and I went there because we had been out shopping and they had spaghetti with meat sauce on the special menu. My husband opted to get soup his soup came out cold he asked for a bowl which was not full but had to pay extra for a bowl anyway. The waitress came over to ask us if everything was ok because she noticed we weren’t eating our food. There was something in the meat sauce I believe it was over spiced and it made it kind of bitter. We told the waitress that and she must’ve went in the back and told to cook who apparently made the sauce. She came out with her hands on her hip and walked over to her table aggressively and said so you don’t like my meat sauce. We told her that there was some thing in there that we really didn’t like the taste of it and we never asked for our money back or anything just for to go boxes because I knew my son would eat it . She said well you’re the first one that’s complained about it today and I’ll have you know I don’t use thyme or rosemary. I have worked with the public and I have worked in food service and I have never in my life had a cook come out of the kitchen to aggressively address us in such a manner. We have decided we are not going back."
