"Stars for food are intended to represent cocktail menu not sure they even offered food?? I counted over 100 different rums on their menu many from countries I wasn 't even aware manufactured rum! The ones I tried were fantastic, and I loved the intimate, speak easy feel.Unfortunately, the server wasn 't very attentive, and we would have to wave at her chatting with her coworkers to get her attention to get any follow up service after our initial drinks."

Such a cool unique spot. Massive rum list and our bartender was very knowledgeable!

Hard to find, hard to forget this elegant and eclectic neighborhood hang. The perfect spot to quench your thirst for a well crafted cocktail. Don’t tell anyone about it!

Same bartender is always annoyed and unfriendly. Perhaps don’t work in this industry if you can’t be nice to people. I generally like the place but this guy always manages to ruin it.

comfortable environment and good drinks at Sparrow but BEWARE OF TOW ZONES IN AREA. After midnight the city enforces no parking on adjacent streets so be aware before trying to relax and enjoy a drink at this establishment! ? View menu

This is a fantastic spot for a date. The atmosphere is quite intimate and inviting, with a nice ambiance. The quality of the drinks is excellent, and the service was exceptional. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. I would definitely come back again!

Welcoming doorman with no attitude was the perfect start….sometimes just getting in a place turns me off and makes me want to leave. Showed us several tables and let us pick which one we preferred. No table service — you have to go to the bar to order — but that was very efficient. Enormous rum selection for my husband to geek out on and my two cocktails were delicious. High on my list for returning!!

I visited the restaurant for drinks, but unfortunately, I had lost my wallet a few days earlier. I had a picture of my passport and ID on my phone, and I’m 40 years old. However, they informed me that the owner had a strict policy and made no exceptions. I believe that any good bar or restaurant should be accommodating in such situations, which reflects poor management on their part. I won’t be returning. View menu

An incredible experience. The cocktails tasted great and and the Art Deco atmosphere and lighting is very well done and really helps to make this place stand out. Best of all, the staff were incredibly attentive, warm, and friendly, remembering small details such as having visited a few nights before or me and my friend's enthusiasm for the beautiful decor. Will definitely make a routine of coming in again whenever I visit Chicago!

This hidden gem is a fantastic little cocktail bar. It's discreet and feels like a secret spot I almost want to keep to myself. The interior has the charm of a boutique hotel bar, reminiscent of 1940s Havana. While their primary focus is on rum, they provide a full bar service and are more than willing to whip up any drink you desire. Just a heads up, they don’t serve food here—it's solely a cocktail lounge. Note: this venue is 21 and over only.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
