"Our experience at Star of India was fantastic. We appreciated the diverse options available, including vegan appetizers, flatbreads, and various vegan main courses. We sampled multiple dishes, and each one was both delicious and authentic. There’s a dedicated vegetarian menu, along with additional vegan options throughout the regular menu. However, the vegan dishes aren’t specifically marked, so we made it a point to check the ingredients and confirm with our server before placing our order. Our server was very knowledgeable and suggested a vegan alternative to naan (chapati), quickly informing us about which dishes contained dairy and which were vegan. The food and service were outstanding. A note for spice enthusiasts: the spice level tends to lean towards medium or mild according to western tastes, so if you prefer your Indian food with a bit of heat, I recommend ordering at least a level 3 or higher. From out of state and wanted to try something we didn't have near us, this was it. amazing food, amazing smell all around just amazing, place was clean and hosted our party of 7. I ordered delivery and noticed that there isn't a specific vegan section on the menu. This made it challenging to identify which items are dairy-free, and quite a few vegetarian options appear to contain yogurt. I suggest doing some research before placing your order. Furthermore, I ordered the vegetable sambusa, but it came with meat instead.

The first was the lamb vindaloo. The lamb was so tender and was not gamey at all. I order the spiciest level but was not spicy enough for me. I would say it is American spicy and not Asian spicy. The star bread was perfect. It is stuffed naan bread with pieces of shredded chicken in it. The last dish was a chicken curry. Huge chunks of chicken and perfect taste. Overall, the service was awesome and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.

One of my favorite dining spots before COVID. The food is authentic and always satisfying. However, after the pandemic, they eliminated the lunch buffet, which was the main reason I used to visit during my work breaks. I could enjoy a delicious meal quickly for just $12. I went in last week and found the dining room was extremely dark and the buffet was no longer available. Instead, I had to order from the regular menu, where meals start at $16 but come with only half the portions compared to what I used to get at the buffet. One of my favorite places to eat pre COVID. The food is authentic and always filling. Coming back post pandemic, the lunch buffet has been eliminated... Which is the reason I frequented it on break from work. Could get a great meal, fast, and for$12. I went in this past week to am extremely dark dining room with no buffet. Now I had to order from the regular menue withmeals starting at $16 for half the food you could get buffet style. I picked out my favorites that I frequented on lunch buffetdays... It them took 35-40 min. to get us our food... The food for 2 people that once would cost $25... Now cost us$60 Sadly, the glory days are behind this once amazing Indian food lunch buffet spot
