"For our main courses, we ordered Pad Ruam Mit (mixed vegetables) with chicken, although tofu and other meat options are available. We also tried the Panang Nue (beef curry), which was absolutely delicious. The curry was rich and packed with tender beef, providing ample portions and vibrant flavors. A couple of important notes: first, if you prefer your dish to have a spicy kick, be sure to inform the server; otherwise, it might come out tasting a bit flat. Secondly, jasmine rice is available for an extra charge and isn't included with your meal, but given the quality and generous portion sizes of the food, it wasn't an issue for us. The restaurant itself was clean, and the service was both excellent and friendly. The seating arrangements, including tables and booths, offered plenty of space. Overall, a great dining experience!"

Excellent team dinner meal! We had a party of 15. The food and service were great

Pad See Ew was dry and unseasoned. No sauce, it was just stir fried in oil and minced garlic. This is the first time in my life I’ve had BLAND Thai food. I’m perplexed.

They've got great curry and actually give you a big serving of it (i.e. a rectangle serving container and not a small circular tub). Yes curry portion sizes are a big hang up in my life. View menu

Star of Siam catered a lunch for my office, and it was a big success! The delivery process was seamless, and they even accommodated our last-minute request for an extra order of fried rice on the morning of the event. We will definitely be ordering from Star of Siam again. Thank you, Eddie and team!

Amazing food and service. The staff and owner takes special care of each and everyone one of their customers with such an inviting atmosphere and caring attitude… they even have a secret menu chef special grilled meats entree available on request when owner/ chef is present. This item is one of their best dishes, worth a try

I was pleased to see how busy they were on a Saturday night, and there was quite a bit of takeout business as well. We really love this restaurant, but on this visit, the food was slightly disappointing. The tom yum soup was flavorful but quite oily. The pepper beef had a surprising sweetness to it, and I found the vegetables to be overcooked. The pad Thai tasted wonderful, but the presentation was not up to par with what I remember; it looked as though it came from a large batch rather than being individually prepared. I’ll definitely go back; I can’t give up on them! View menu

I really enjoyed their menu. Many Thai restaurants tend to have similar offerings, but this one featured a variety of unique dishes I hadn’t encountered before. I ordered the Singapore noodles with shrimp and squid, which came in a delicious curry sauce. I have dietary restrictions regarding garlic and onion, but the staff was very accommodating and prepared the dish without those ingredients. To my surprise, it was still incredibly flavorful even without them! I also appreciated that the tip is included in the bill. I think this reflects the restaurant’s commitment to taking care of its staff, which is important since not everyone tips. It’s great to know that their employees are well taken...

The curry was rich in flavor and packed with a generous amount of tender beef. Both dishes offered vibrant flavors and satisfying portions. A couple of important notes: If you prefer your food on the spicy side, be sure to notify the server; otherwise, you may find the dish lacking in flavor. Also, be aware that jasmine rice is an additional charge and does not come included with your meal, but the quality and portion sizes of the food made this a minor issue. "Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
