Storming Crab Seafood Lexington

Absolutely fantastic! It was my first visit to this restaurant, and I ordered combo 4 with garlic butter seasoning and medium spice. The shrimp was delectable. The prices for seafood are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place!

I had a wonderful meal! I highly recommend the Family Boil and the whole lobster boil. Both dishes were outstanding and on par with the seafood boils we enjoyed in New Orleans, yet they were much more affordable here. The service was quick and welcoming! Food: 5/5 View menu

Our server tonight was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and guided us through our first visit here. The oysters were amazing, and we ordered a large mix-and-match boil. The portions were generous, and the pricing for seafood in Kentucky was quite reasonable. We even took some home with us. We will definitely be returning! Thank you!

The seafood was exactly that. Seafood. There was more we didn't like than we did. I ordered the blue crabs and scallops. There was absolutely no seasoning (or flavor) on the potatoes, corn, or scallops. The blues were the smallest I've ever seen. My wife ordered snow crabs and a dozen oysters. The crabs were decent. She asked for plain oysters and they came out cajun. The manager was nice about it and replaced them. It wasn't totally a bad experience, but way too pricey for the quality of food.

This restaurant was our first experience with a seafood boil in Lexington, and it was excellent. Although we no longer live in the Wellington area, we make it a point to stop here for takeout when visiting family. Our favorite is combo #6, and I typically order about two combos for a group of six adults. I appreciate the range of options and variety available. Overall, it’s a fun dining experience. We had a great dinner experience. Our server, Steve, was super friendly, attentive, and helpful explaining the menu and accurately describing the various spiciness levels from which we could choose. It was evident that the staff was working as a team, which is always nice to see. Everyone was paying attention to the people dining there, and every table around us was checked on several times. The price reflected in this review included the boil bag for which they are known with the lobster tails and 3 alcoholic beverages as well as a couple appetizers. We had a really great experience on a weeknight, and were seated right away in a fun casual atmosphere.

Every time I come here the manager Sarah always gives excellent customer service! The care she has for her employees and her customers is amazing. Not too many managers care for their employees the way she does. She makes it to where the work environment in the restaurant is full of happiness and positive vibes. I did NOT see at least one waitress who has an attitude. They all showed that they are motivated, well driven to exceed the expectations of their customers. I previously visited this restaurant and decided to come back today for a special birthday dinner. The staff were friendly and the service was generally good. However, I have to mention some drawbacks. Since this place specializes in crab, I expected the crab dishes to be exceptional. While I anticipated a high price for a crab dinner, I was disappointed to find that more than half of my order was overcooked, making it difficult to extract the meat from the legs. I ended up giving up on the smaller pieces entirely. Although it still tasted good, the overcooking made the effort to enjoy the crab frustrating.
