"We could not have had a more pleasant experience anywhere especially during a pandemic. The precautions were 2nd to none with temp checks for patrons, distancing, mask, outdoor space, and cleanliness. The food was the best sushi we have had anywhere, and we have been to many great places in various cities and metro areas. The service and attentiveness to us and to every detail were remarkable. It was my son's 21st birthday and they all came out to sing to him and presented him with a free gift of chocolate truffles. Will return in the spring as I hear the gardens are a sight and they have a cherry blossom tree!"

The omakase dinner was AMAZING!!! They bring in fish from Tokyo. I think this restaurant is a gem, especially comparing to the price of flying back home to Tokyo or to Sapporo to get this quality of sushi. View menu

Valentine’s Day. Got the omakaze for $130 a person. The courses went by quickly and thought many of the pieces were salty. Also advertised 5 pieces of sashimi however only 3 pieces were given. Value definitely was not good compared to the other places that I have been to.

The low mark for ambience wasn't really the restaurant's fault; it was 28 degrees outside, and breezy, and those cute little outdoor heaters just weren't keeping up. The sushi is still great, and the service is impeccable. But so long as the pandemic is a threat, I would advise limiting visits to Susha Nonaka to days when it is above freezing.
