"if they are a fan of Nepalese cuisine as I am, they will appreciate the eating at this place, located in the obscure southern end of ukiah. it is next to a Mexican restaurant. there are many vegetarian escapes. my only bone is the same I have with many other restaurants: the undefined area of mixed vegetables that are in the regular a mix of carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and cauliflower, of which two are crucible. certain people with digestive disorders can not eat this without serious problems, and even the cook that is quite vegetarian and dietary eating friendly to take them, not guarantee that their sweet soup is safe edible. nevertheless this place has an excellent dahl (lentil) suppe. the crumble broth soup was quite bland in my estimation, and had a lot of flower cabbage that I enjoy more in moderation, but the papadums with chutney on the side was an excellent appetizer. kartoffels were spiced with crumbs, but rather with gland and a little dry. rice is extra but beautiful to balance some of the more oily dishes. the ambiente is like a dimm-home light, often with live music that can make it difficult for talks. the service can be slow, depending on how short they are. on the street side there is an outside seat, which can be beautiful, which allows weather and the small amount of traffic. most traffic is for cheap margaritas next door and the apartment car drive next door."

The quality of paneer was very poor and also stale. Dal makhni was super super spicy despite asking them to make it medium spicy. We ordered take out and they gave up one less dal makhni and charged us for two. For the price they charge, the food quality is very bad.

The food at this restaurant is amazing! It's fresh and perfectly spiced. They have a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian options. The service is good for takeout, and the atmosphere is great for dinner. The price per person is between $20 and $30. I highly recommend trying their Vegetable Samosas. View menu

The past reviews here are misleading. I would have given it 0 stars but there was no option to give 0 star, the food is horrible here. We ordered momos, noodles and lemon rice, they all tasted so bad. Noodles was oily and hard, Lemon rice was tasteless, it was missing the lemon taste entirely and very high on turmeric.

Authentic food, with Friday and Saturday Entertainments. This is one place you do not want to miss out!! But sometime does take around 15-30min wait for your dish. But its all good, cause their customer service is outstanding. One thing to keep in mind is price, some are slight pricey for its Tasty Authentic food. If you like Spicy, they got some VERY SPICY Spice here!! They have both Vegan Friendly food non-vegan of course.

Nepalese food comes very close to Indian food. Travelled 90mins to eat here as we were craving for Indian type of food. We were served complementary Lentil soup and it was amazing. We ordered Samosa, Salmon Tandoori and Veg Chowmien. Samosa was awesome, as it was freshly made, infact everything was very fresh. Salmon Tandoori also had a good mix of spices as we expect in Indian food. Veg Chowmien I felt was bit on the sweeter side, but it was not bad. I would take one a star for that. The staff is soft spoken and humble. Overall, place is good and I would come back here, but may not travel 90mins. View menu

The Himalayan Cafe is a wonderful authentic East Indian dining experience. Its an amazing restaurant, run by Makar Rai, who, along with his staff, is from Nepal. The food is so wonderful and authentic. The service and vibe' of the place is just right. Everything is home-made, including the great sauces and condiments. You must try the tandoori eggplant (smoky and so delicious), the saag paneer (spinach with home-made cheese), paneer dilruba (amazing tomato sauce and cheese), try the somas, the mo-mos, ohmygosh, just try everything! On Fridays there is live music at night and Saturdays they have bellydancing! Luncheon specials are a great deal. (Veg non-veg with large vegetarian menu.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and the staff is equally great. The atmosphere is comfortable but nothing special. Expect to spend $20+ per person, but the food is tasty. Most dishes can be ordered at spice levels 1-5. If you can't handle spice, choose level 1. For a little spice, go for level 2. If you like spicy food but nothing too crazy, go for level 3. Level 4 might give you an upset stomach, but it's worth it. I've tried the tandoori at level 5 before and it was incredibly spicy, causing even the staff to cough from the heat. It's similar to lighting gasoline on your tongue, but delicious. Only recommend for those who like spice challenges or have a high tolerance. Vegetarian...
