"Unfortunately both their Tacos and Tequila were lacking. Instead of mentioning how bland most of the tacos were or how most of their tequilas are additive packed Americanized name brands, I'll focus on the good. The green salsa and guacamole were great. It was like a chimichuri/salsa verde that was pretty unique and yummy. Adding that to tacos definitely helped. The pork belly taco was ok, can't go wrong with fried pork and avocado. The others tacos though... I'd pass. The bar had El Tesoro Blanco- a solid tequila. No additives, no diffuser used, just an authentic delicious tequila blanco. They also have Del Mague Vida and make a very good Mezcal Mule. But, that's about it- I stick with my belief that any time a restaurant has to serve their tacos to you in an metal taco stand, you can bet the presentation is probably it greatest attribute."

I always have a fantastic time at this restaurant. They offer a wide variety of tacos, and every one I've tried has been delicious. I took advantage of the restaurant week special for two, which included a trio of dips, five tacos (fried shrimp, chicken dablo, and fried fish), and a dessert (key lime cake) for just $35. I also enjoyed a Hibiscus margarita.

Absolutely delicious! After a long day of traveling, we were pleasantly surprised by how tasty everything was, how friendly the staff were, and the fantastic atmosphere. They truly know how to create delicious Mexican cuisine. I highly recommend stopping by. The drinks leaned a bit on the sweet side, so just be aware if you're not a fan of overly sweet margaritas.

So... Let me start by saying the street corn was the best I've had in the DMV! Tacos and nachos were pretty good too. Only four beers on tap but the tequila list has variety. It was pretty empty on a Sunday night. So, I wasn't feeling the slow service but we ended up with a free taco so I suppose it worked out. Overall, Tequila Tacos is a chill spot with a good vibe.

Our waiter was nice, and the atmosphere was okay. We went on a Saturday evening to celebrate our anniversary. We both ordered the chimichanga (chicken/steak) and thought it was going to be spectacular, but it was just mediocre. Their salsa and watermelon margarita was good however. I also ordered the street corn which was also mediocre. Sadly, there was no wow experience like we expected! View menu

This is a fantastic spot to enjoy fresh, delicious handmade tacos. Tequila Taco prepares nearly everything in-house, and you can truly taste the difference. They offer the best fresh chips and salsa, and their margaritas are outstanding. Overall, it's a wonderful experience from the moment you receive your bill. Be sure to try the ginger margarita, which features freshly ground ginger, along with the sweet potato taco.

The Hibiscus Margarita was delicious (forgot to take picture) the food is very good. Our table ordered Enchiladas, Tacos and Quesadillas. Fresh ingredients throughout, but on a personal note, I found their beans to be on the salty side. Service was fine but not fabulous which is why I took one star away. We visited between 5 and 7pm on a Wednesday. Busy but not crowded and no issues with street parking at that day/time.

I love coming here!! And I love the restaurant group completely, very high-quality food and drinks. You can say that the boss brings a little more love in every court. Thanks for excellent service from all employees in general and for Eric to be friendly and treat me like a part of the crew. Chantel was my bartender today and she was great! Super busy, but still keep them composure. Literally everything you order on the menu will be great, so not shy when you starters, tacos, bowls or Fajitas. You have the best Tequila, Margaritas and Caipirinhas! View menu

1st time visit. The place is nice and modern. They have nice indoor wrap around bar and lots of seating inside and out. The staff were attentive and friendly. Ordered the blood orange margarita to drink. Was nice and refreshing. Ordered the beef burrito to eat and it said it came with rice and beans. I thought it was the traditional platter I get at other Mexican restaurants but to my surprise the rice and beans were actually just part of the large burrito. I would've rather had them on the side as the flavors just kinda got lost in it...i wanted the distinct textures and flavors along with the burrito. I wouldn't order it again unless i could get them as separate sides. I may go back and tr...

The churros are amazing! That’s it. They were fresh and warm. Crispy on the outside. Soft on the inside. I visited this restaurant twice within a week for their churros and luckily got to try their birria taco which was the taco of the day on one of those visits. That particular taco is only offered with beef but the sauce was the best part. Very flavorful. I put it on every. The other tacos I tried were edible but lacked seasoning. The tacos are small so order accordingly. The street corn is slightly grilled and sweet! Amazing combination. The dip trio was tasty as well. Especially the green sauce. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Paid parking on the street and a garage locat...

"This place really helped me adjust. I later learned that people gravitate towards certain bars, and I found my favorites, especially those with live music like Birchmere, Black Cat, 9:30 Club, Lincoln, Capital One Arena, and even the now-closed O'Shaughnessy's and Rock & Roll Hotel. One of my most memorable experiences was running into Rory Sheridan on one of my first visits. He was launching his DC music campaign back then and was part of Loud Boyz. We chatted a few times, and I even caught up with some old classmates. Another highlight was when I heard about a “reunion” night before Thanksgiving, and I decided to crash it. There were moments where people could be unkind or I felt out of place, but I was given some guidance on where I would fit in better, without the unnecessary drama. Being in Old Town, I was familiar with nearby schools like West Potomac, Mount Vernon, and Bishop Ireton. During my visits, I would often take an Alexandria cab or use Metro Access, being discreet about my disability since I felt embarrassed at times. Being a regular meant navigating the tourist scene, and there were people who seemed territorial about the place, but I ended up doing quite well when I sold my house. Good times continued with events like watching RG3 play for the Redskins or meetups organized by JT. I enjoyed New Year’s celebrations and weekend outings. I also frequented other establishments like Flying Fish before it closed, and O'Shaughnessy's before I decided to stop drinking. This is a sports bar located near a bicycle shop, close to the Ben & Jerry's I used to work at, along with many other walkable bars for bar hopping, like Union Street Pub and Fish Market. It can be a great place to have fun, but with the good comes some downsides. Overall, I felt well-hosted and respected here, despite some things I was not initially aware of or didn’t want to uncover."

"My friends and I went to Cheesetique for restaurant week. We sat outside. The space was great, the weather was great. Upon arrival, it took a server about 15 minutes to come to our table, and that was only after a friend went inside to ask for someone to service us. The server who had served our friends, who had arrived 10 minutes prior, was bartending. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. The drinks came out relatively soon after. The food took a normal amount of time to come out of the kitchen. We got the watermelon, quinoa salad and truffle balls as apps. There was no dressing with the salad, just spinach leaves, watermelon, and quinoa. It was very basic. The truffle balls, although good, were balls of cheese. They gave huge cheese balls but only 3 tiny pieces of bread. We ordered a Mac and cheese for the table which was not salted very well at all. For the main course, we ordered gnocchi, pot pie, and braised beef. The beef and mashed potatoes were the best. The pot poe and gnocchi were not nearly salted enough. All the food came out 'warm ' at best. Dessert was fine. Overall, not at all worth the amount we paid for restaurant week. We were left disappointed. The service was slow. I do understand they might have been short staffed, but even waitresses who were not our servers looked as us, after being there for 15 min and walked past. We asked someone to get us water, which was never brought to us, so overall, disappointed in our dining experience, considering how much we paid."
