The Best Stop Supermarket

The best Cajun cracklings! I've been going to this place for years. They have great deer and pork sausages. My only regret is not bringing a cooler with me!

I was driving through and I was told I had to check out Best Stop. Best advice I was given. I only had one issue. Not enough smoked boudin. Best boudin I ever had.

Stopped on the way back to TX from FL for some crawfish boudin. Barely made it before closing time, but everyone was still welcoming and friendly! Added a case of boudin balls, too. They even have great ready to eat burgers, dogs, and rice beans. I love it here. View menu

Best Stop used to be amazing! However, after our visit today, I won't be returning. We paid $16.99 per pound and received what can only be described as the leftovers of the chicken cracklings. It costs very little to make chicken cracklings, so the price you charge is outrageous. Giving us the scraps is even more absurd, especially since they weren't even hot. This has been a lesson learned for us, and we won't be coming back.

Food is great second time visiting this location since we are from Texas and we have visited the Katy location also....but customer service was uncomfortable and unprofessional at this location , all four ladies up front were watching us like hawks, making us feel very uncomfortable. We were the only customers in the place at the time, when paying I did make a comment to them you 'll must not be busy since you 'll are all staring and standing around .We didn 't spend a few dollars in the place we spent over $200 so these ladies need a little schooling on customer service Location is : 12442 Texas hwy Toledo bend View menu

While researching things for a trip through Louisiana, I came across a YouTube video for the boudin at the Best Stop. I’ve never had boudin (don’t recall seeing it anywhere in PA) so I was curious to try it. We entered the store and noticed it was busy (good sign). After looking around we went to the hot food counter and ordered two types of boudin balls and a smoked boudin link. OMG, why hasn’t someone brought boudin to the northeast. The different boudin balls and the smoked link were absolutely delicious. It’s been about 2 weeks since being at this place and I’m craving it. If you are anywhere close to this shop, Make sure you stop and try the boudin.

I am very disappointed after years of visiting this restaurant. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap, which should have just been plain chicken wrapped in a tortilla. I waited for 20 minutes at the neighboring restaurant for my order, but it still didn’t come out right. I didn’t feel like going back inside because I had already waited so long. There were two girls working who seemed to be spending all their time in the back, and I felt sorry for the poor guy inside who was also waiting a long time for his food. While Boudin may still be the go-to spot for that dish, I will never return to this restaurant again. There’s no excuse for such a long wait and for them to get my order wrong.

The red beans and rice were tasty, but just mush. No beans in it. I understand different people like different things, I just like some beans in mine. The burger was delicious, juicy, and a great size. The boudain addition was definitely worth it. I don't know what kind of bun they used, but it reminded me of a jalepeno bun, kinda sweet. I could eat the burger 3 times a week. The pork chop breading was too hard. I like crunchy, but that was like the wet chop sat in the flour too long type of hard.
