"If you're looking for a good spot in downtown Phoenix with vegan options and you like rum cocktails, this a good choice. This place has a great ambiance with outdoor seating and a stellar cocktail menu. There are several vegan options (roasted plantains, mango salsa, tofu curry with cabbage red pepper being a few examples). The rest is mainly seafood/not plant-based. Our server was attentive and nice and the other servers seemed to be the same way. My fiancé (who is not vegan) enjoyed the drinks and enjoyed the food, although we agreed the food may not be worth the $ (because it is quite expensive 20+ kind of expensive... Overall, it's worth a try!"

Just had dinner there last night. Marvelous. The Jamaican cuisine is second to none, and how can you argue with that rum bar?

Flavors are unbelievable in both food and drink. Sit at the bar for a before or after dinner drink and watch the masters make the drinks. A great show.

a restaurant in phoenix, with one of the few progressive chefs in the nation. it is a contemporary takeover of Jamaican food with a sustainable foundation. must try. View menu

the ambiente and the device are on the point. When they go into the area, the fragrance is of crumbling and hypnotizing. Your mouth begins to water. my court was delicious and the little tellers really met the brand. the servier sizes are extremely small and the prices are high.

I was recently in phoenix for a work conference and went one night with colleagues to dinner. I got the plantain appetizer and was very happy that she wasn't greasy like most restaurant tart. I have the vegetables of the building and it was very tasteful. the soft drink of cleanliness was delicious and very refreshing. View menu

The food was just so-so. I didn't notice anything about it that couldn't be done at home. My dining partner agreed. Gourmet prices should come with a gourmet experience. Meh. It's ok. Get ready for a large bill. Their rum drinks are incredible, though. I recommend you just sit at the bar, get a drink (tell the incredible bartenders they have complete creative freedom and just surprise you) and get an app or two.

Actually, this place is simply not vegan friendly. it is not even a nice culinary experience more as it was earlier. they removed their delicious curry tofu option and replaced with a boring saauted veggies with rice that desperately needs Coco-aminos on it. when I asked the personal why she got her curry tofu shot (the only thing I wanted) her answer was that she got the tofu from Jamaica and that's not sustainable. what a sweat. Ya’ll serve meat that is the most insatiable food! buy them tofu locally as what any other restaurant that serves tofu locally does.

"i’ve been coming to lacuna for over two years now and this little gem is definitely one of my favorite places to be. i’m not much of a review-writer, but when i feel passionately about places (good or bad , i get inspired.as someone who leads an alcohol-free lifestyle, it is SO nice having this option to unwind and create some art, relax, or hang out with friends. i’ve truly made so many wonderful connections through lacuna that i will cherish for a lifetime!it’s also a great place to get work done. i work remote, so i spend a good majority of my week here at my second office ; the BOGO happy hour deal comes in clutch.i think it’s really great that there is a mix of events now too, not just strictly DJ’s performing 6-7 nights a week. (although i do absolutely love the nights when there’s a DJ as well ! the variety of events is great; chess tournaments, community coloring, workshops, recovery groups, massages, yoga etc. there’s been a lot of engaging activities that i enjoy attending or participating in.i feel like lacuna has become a lot stronger in both the workspace and community-front in the last year or so too. the kavatenders all have such a warm and positive energy and always make me feel special when i come in. it’s nice seeing management interacting with customers and staff more too. it’s nice overhearing the positive feedback from management to staff (or staff to staff , and hearing the conversations that the staff members have with guests. there just seems to be a lot more connection overall. lacuna is growing and glowing for sure. <3the price increase is a bit of a bummer, but in a time with inflation… what can you really do? i personally TRUST lacuna with their product and that’s what keeps me coming back. i know they put both quality and care into their products and it really reflects. it can be a pretty penny if you’re getting multiple drinks, but fancy craft cocktails at a regular bar can be the same way. plus, my points add up so quickly i get pretty frequent discounts with their reward system. it’s not the end of the world!i appreciate the subtle changes in the bar layout and decor too. even the little things keep it feeling fresh and a little new each time you come in.the *only* “negative” thing i have to say about the space is that it can be difficult to order a drink or close out a tab sometimes. there’s rushes and it gets busy, but sometimes it feels as if one staff member just isn’t enough during these times. sometimes there’s not a lot of communication about this either between staff and people trying to close out, but i’ve been coming here for awhile now so i know what to expect. if you’re in a time crunch, just give yourself a little buffer or cushion of time to get closed out (or order to go right off the bat and close out immediately .all things considered, though, 5 stars all the way around! lacuna is an ever-evolving, ever-growing spot and i’m excited to see what the future looks like for you guys! : bulaaaa!!!!"
