The Breakfast Spot - Menu

Stopped in here for brunch after the KC half marathon last weekend. Food was delicious, service was efficient, and prices were reasonable! I'll be back!

Very tasty breakfast spot. Besides your regular breakfast fare there are plenty of delicious other options like chilaquiles or huevos rancheros. The service is great and very helpful. Plenty of seating and space.

Perfect combination of Mexican American favorites. The Migas were perfect. Loved the salsa. They beans were a meal in themselves. They cooked my eggs perfect. The French Toast was delicious. Can't wait to try lunch.Food: 5/5 View menu

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and was impressed by their diverse menu. They take classic American breakfast favorites and give them a delightful South-of-the-Border twist, resulting in some delicious dishes. The restaurant offers ample seating and also features a lovely patio area. It's a family-friendly spot, making it great for kids too!

Menus were black and white on paper. Took me a while to see that they had Waffles but they tasted great,were huge and crispy. Biscuit and gravy was Ok. Fruit was very fresh. Hash Browns needed to be crispier but waiter was nice and had them browned again.Kid-friendliness: It's quiet and they made chocolate milk. No cereal though.Parking: No problem finding parking as it wasn't crowded on A Sunday morning at 9

We have visited this restaurant several times and considered it a reliable option. However, our recent experience this morning at around 9:30 (June 13) for breakfast was disappointing. We were seated right away, but then we didn't receive any service. The servers attended to the tables in front and behind us multiple times to refill coffee and deliver food, yet no one acknowledged our presence. After waiting for 30 minutes without any attention, we decided to leave. This was a frustrating and unacceptable experience, and we won't be returning. View menu

We went here for breakfast after Sunday church. Not super busy, we got a table immediately. It then took us another 20 minutes late o get coffee and an hour to get food. Horrible service. All the wait staff were kids who looked like they were hanging around talking.At one point I got up from the table to take the kid to the bathroom. The bus boys took the opportunity to clear away all our coffee cause they thought we left. No, we just hadn’t gotten any food and our waiter was nowhere in sight.I’d recommend a McDonald’s breakfast over this place.

I was genuinely excited to discover this restaurant and initially gave it a 5-star review. However, it seems that my first experience was more of an exception than the norm. My second visit was lackluster, with food that was cold, dry, and lacking in flavor. I decided to give it another try today, but unfortunately, it was just unpleasant. The biscuits and gravy had a gelatinous consistency and a slimy texture. I really wanted to enjoy this place as much as I did during my first visit, but with two out of three experiences being so disappointing (and pricey), I think it’s time to move on.

This used to be a great, and affordable breakfast location. However, the pricing on their website does not match the pricing in the restaurant. When you visit the restaurant it is easily 50% more expensive than it is with the pricing on their website. Part of the reason why we recently visited was because we saw the website pricing. So we were shocked when we got there and everything. Across-the-board was way more expensive. Even the pricing of the special was different on the menu than what the waitress had told us and billed us. They were just a lot of inconsistencies. The biscuits and gravy are fine.
