"I first tried Land of Kush through a delivery app (specifically their crab cakes, mac and cheese, and one of their smoothies) and found it okay. I had heard that their delivery tends to not be as good as eating at the restaurant, so I was hoping to try to visit sometime. Finally got to visit this week and this time I was blown away by the flavor of the food. I think Land of Kush definitely deserves its reputation and one of the best vegan places in BaltimoreCan't wait to visit again to try even more of their dishes Would recommend eating/ordering takeout there over using a delivery app, which is probably better for supporting the restaurant anyway Just a note that they provide all the food in (compostable) containers even if you eat in-person, so not super waste-free by default Updated from previous review on 2022-03-20"

Amazing vegan soul food. Very creatively made, love their mock meats in particular. Mac and cheese does taste like a standard cashew based vegan Mac and cheese but everything else is unique and amazing. Everything is incredibly well seasoned

I had a great experience. I loved the food and art work! I got a 3 veggie plate sweet potatoes, Mac n cheese, and greens (pretty salty). My husband got a chick pea burger and he enjoyed it. The ginger drink is very delicious! I loved how spicy it was.

I've been waiting 2 years to try this restaurant and I just wasn't impressed at all. I threw out the yams. The vegan ribs was the only thing I'd try again. The macaroni and cheese shouldn't even be called that and the crab cakes didn't taste fresh at all as if they were left over and they refried them for today. View menu

It took us almost 11 years to find this awesome place in Baltimore. We've been doing whole food vegan diet this year but sometimes we'd have a treat. And this place was an absolute treat. It's like soul food (but vegan). Delicious. Also order the ginger tea (bit strong unless you loooooove ginger I'd recommend for more ice). We got the ribs platter and chick pea burger. Both delicious ????

I've been coming here off and on for a while when I'm in the area. This restaurant is by far the best vegan restaurant in Baltimore! The food is always good, the drinks are filling and unique (I recommend the spiced ginger; it's spicy in a filling way), and the Mac n Cheese hits the spot in a way that other places often fall short. The only gripe I have on the place are the desserts. Once you have the cakes, it's hard to go back to other spots!

Wow. I ordered the ribs, live kale and Mac cheese which I think was a perfect combination. The ribs are perfect consistency soy shreds with a well balanced sweet/tangy BBQ sauce that?s flavourful without being overpowering. The mac cheese is possibly the best vegan Mac cheese I?ve had although (or because? it?s not like ?traditional mac cheese?, it?s earthier with a deep black pepper maybe nutmeg/truffle taste. The live kale is a great fresh balance to the View menu

Always nice to go to a plant-based restaurant and have lots of choices. Even better when there are gluten free choices. We tried the sides, they all looked good and shared an entree. The kale salad with garlic dressing was one of the best I've had anywhere. The collards were great, the rice, and the entree. The gluten free chocolate cake with peanut butter icing was great. My sister and her friend loved the sweet potatoes, and said the german chocolate cake was great. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good, like Mom home cooked plant-based food.

Went in with a friend while visiting Baltimore and told the staff to just surprise me before being given a curry chickun wrap and collards. It was my first time having Soul food and I'll say, that wrap was very impressive, each element playing so well with one another. If it were my guess, it must have been seitan or something among those lines. Collards though delicious, were quite salty to be eating alone, so definitely be sure to compliment it with something. The restaurant was humble and tucked away in Baltimore, definitely the type of place I'd swing by for lunch if I were working nearby.

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
