"I wanted to love this place as it came with high praise. I'm going to give it a another try because this first visit wasn't so impressive. First of all, it's a tiny place and we made a reservation but were seated by the front door where the cold air kept breezing in every time someone came in. Second, and this is a NYC thing I think, but it was so loud we could hardly speak to each other or the server. Third, maybe because of the second, our order took forever to come out and when it did they got it wrong. The food was interesting and hearty with generous portions and I loved the biscuits. Will try this place again hoping this was just a bad day"

Super small place....small and cramped. Pull out each table in order to seat guests, small. Very noisy when the restaurant was full.Food was good, but I won't be back

Wonderful inventive little restaurant close to Street theatres without rushing they manage to prepare the food beautifully and still get you out in time for the show. Farm to table selections we just keep going back View menu

The best restaurant in NYC!!! Farm-to-table, everything local and delicious! SO nice when you know where the food you’re about to eat come from! Everything comes from local farms and the drinks are spectacular!! I definitely recommend this restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen!

The food was great but the service was beyond terrible. The waitress was rude and seemed annoyed the entire time. Really would love to say I would go back because the food was amazing, but likely won't. Too many options in the city to go somewhere I'd have such poor customer service.

our fourth time here and it never lets us down. great food from local sources. attentive, but no too attentive service. nice vibe and despite its small size, never seems to feel overcrowded. the wine list is pricey but hey it's New York and the wines themselves are good. we will be back View menu

Simply one of NY's best restaurants! The food is spectacular and the service is very good!! The place is very friendly and I ate one of the best Ravioli of my life!!! The dishes have a special touch and are very well prepared! I Can’t wait to come back to this restaurant!! Thank you for the amazing experience!

Small, quaint spot in Hell’s Kitchen that makes use of every inch of space. Attentive servers. We came here because we were excited about the vegetable side options. Unfortunately, the ones we chose fell a little flat for us in terms of flavor; the mushrooms had a particularly odd texture. Highly recommend the Brussels Sprout salad

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
