"I was very excited to try this restaurant, having driven all the way from the beach area. However, I ended up feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come and take our drink order. The regular mimosa we ordered was great, but the Bloody Mary was smaller than expected and only had one sip worth. Our food took a while to come out, and when it did, the pancakes were just a simple stack of two with some berries. They were decent, but nothing special and seemed overpriced. The middle of the pancakes were undercooked, which was disappointing. The egg sandwich we ordered was delicious, but towards the end, there were parts that were undercooked, giving off a strong raw meat smell. This was our second visit, and unfortunately, it did not live up to our previous experience where the food was cooked better."

Excellent service, good beer/wine selection. Great vegetarian choices: we had the impossible burger tots and the kombucha squash entree, kudos to the chef/staff!

The white BBQ sauce on the chicken sandwich is absolutely disgusting, please put it on the side. Also the pickled olives in charcuterie board are gross and should be replaced with non pickled.Great view though.

Excellent service and a fantastic selection of craft beers on tap make this restaurant a great stop. The small plates are perfect for sharing and the Tri-Tip sandwich was delicious. Overall, a top-notch experience.

Service is fantastic. Food is excellent. Good beer selection. Nice spot to chill by the lake and have a good meal. About 20 minutes from Julian or Mount Laguna.Had the impossible pub burger, fries, and the green bean pepitas appetizer.

Oh my gosh! The food, beer, view are unbeatable. A bit pricey for locale but memorable on the palate. 80 for 2 burgers, no sides, and 4 beers). Staff is very personable and introduce themselves and ask about your experience. We'll be back!

I heard that nickle brewing was now part of this restaurant, so we had to come by. had I not been disappointed? by rough, great beer on hahn. and their pub burger and garlauch parmesan pommes were really delicious? friendly service also (thanks alison) updates the outside deck with view of the lake for a nice view? it was always a great stop, but now it's even better! We found The Pub staying at a nearby lodge and were not only thrilled to not have to go into town, but the food was excellent! On top of that, two days later, we got snowed in. We called The Pub and although Wednesdays are normally closed, Tom drove food up to us...in a snowstorm. We wanted him to add a generous tip, but he refused! This is a restaurant we will always go to anytime we are up. Anyone who drives in a snowstorm to deliver food when closed, is a business we all need to support! And did we mention...the food is great!

We drove from a nearby campsite and found the oasis we were looking for at this restaurant. The beer selection was amazing and the Wagyu burger was extremely juicy and tasty. The fries could have been cooked a bit longer for my taste, but they were still good. You can sit outside and enjoy a fantastic view of the water. The weather was perfect, which we were grateful for. We also enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and excellent service. They were out of my first two beer choices but worked with me to find one that was available. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

"On Saturday, April 8, 2023, my friends and I stopped by. We frequent this establishment often after hiking in the area. We have lunch at Farmhouse 78 and then come nextdoor, to Julian 's. Half of my friends love this place. The other half say it 's overrated. I 'm actually not a pie person, but one of the girls in my hiking group is a Foodie and she has an IG for foodie content. She wanted to try this place; it was her first time. As I was leaving, my brother was holding the door for her because she was the last one picking up her order, and he is a gentleman. I noticed something was going on. There was an older Caucasian lady (staff) telling my brother, you shouldn 't be holding that door open, close it , in a stern tone. My Foodie friend heard and told her, He was just holding the door open for me . The staff member replied back with, Well, we are closing and we don 't want anyone to come in this way ! They held their tongue and just left. We were all in the car when they told the rest of us what happened. As an employee, she should 've just politely apologized or say it differently. My friends just spent over $100 there combined! The attitude was unnecessary. There was a couple on a motorcycle who witnessed it all, and they said, so much for chivalry . My foodie friend immediately deleted all of the content she made videos of to make a reel and give them some extra exposure. My Foodie friend also gave the final verdict on this place, she also felt that this place is over-rated and would not come back, not even if in the area."
