"As a Texan native, I have high standards for tacos. While I am generally open to trying tacos in NYC, the ones I tried at this restaurant were disappointing. The portions were small, the tacos lacked flavor and there was no hot sauce available. I ordered a spicy margarita with mezcal but couldn't taste the mezcal and it wasn't spicy. The sangria tasted like juice and I ended up just getting a beer since the other drinks and food were not up to par. I was excited to have a local taco spot in my neighborhood, but after my experience, it's the one place I wouldn't return to in my four years in NYC (two of which were in the neighboring area). I recommend Los Tacos in Chelsea or Tacombi in Manhattan, or heading to Brooklyn for better options. Additionally, the service was poor and they overcharged us for items we did not order. Overall, a disappointing dining experience."

Stumbled in, literally it’s downstairs in a basement. Fantastic tacos at $5.50 a piece, solid margs! Would go back for sure!!

The tacos are pretty good here and the margaritas are the best. Would recommend you try them out if you're on this side of town.

My friends and I were a group of 8.. The Taco Shop was able to seat us all within 10 minutes even during COVID. Drinks were incredible! And the tacos were to die for. Would highly recommend! Ask for Claude!

A very lovely place! The owner is very nice and welcoming. I ordered the steak chimichangas and they were small, but delicious. The chicken tortilla soup was also very yummy. I drank a frozen mango margarita and it was so good!!

The place was good. Ended up sharing a platter with two friends and it was more than enough to go around. The tacos were good. For the area, the price was reasonable. Service was quick and we didn’t feel hurried. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

My friend and I went to a restaurant today. Unfortunately, my friend wasn't feeling well because of the pandemic, so they went home. An hour later, I also started feeling sick after eating the spoiled food at this place. It used to be our favorite spot with delicious food, but today was a disappointment. Something must be done about the quality of the food they are serving because it made us both very sick.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
