"One of our favorite restaurants in Cannon Beach. But we had 3 different waiters during our dinner. It was great food and nice waiters, but we're used to dealing with a person. There was a party of 20 on some tables, so the difference could have been. It was really busy, so mostly understand. Please! It's worth it. We've been there for years. Food was excellent."

There was a loud group of men who exaggerated the restaurant. Food was more expensive than better restaurants in the city. Eating warm. Probably not back. View menu

Although they were short staffed, we had great service. Food was so good and the ambiance was lovely. They made sure we had a view seat as it was our anniversary

Very well made food and amazing cocktails. The ambiance is very romantic and relaxed. I highly recommend getting a reservation during daylight hours so you can enjoy the spectacular beach view

Great view! That’s what keeps us coming back. Food is good quality, but somewhat small proportions. Food is extremely expensive for what you get. Restaurant interior needs cleaning up and updating View menu

We had a nice experience. Excellent sea views and Haystack Rock. Food was good, not exceptional. Total good experience. Was surprised to learn that Cannon Beach now has its own special restaurant tax.

"This was our 6th visit to Stephanie Inn over 10 years and the most special visit of all as were married there this Dec 2023! We truly enjoyed our December visit to the newly remodeled Stephanie Inn! We thought it was really nice before the remodel and we were afraid to go back as we thought it might lose its coziness, but it did not disappoint cozy factor still in place and upgrades to furniture are gorgeous and comfy! Hospitality of staff is still fantastic! My review is two parts for our stay and our wedding. Hotel Review: Stephanie Inn staff always makes us feel so welcome from the moment we arrive. They made sure to keep all the extra's such as free hot breakfast, cookies/scones coffee tea in lobby, happy hour with what I noticed to be enhanced warm appetizers and the nightcap are still in place, homemade limoncello was delicious! The daily housekeeping, nightly turndown service with chocolates, and arrival gift box with local treats is still there. They even added steamers to each room, and they still have the memory foam Temper Pedic mattresses. They removed the DVD players in place of an upgraded TVs and added HBO and a screencast option to access your apps. I could go on, but better to leave some surprises. All the traditions that make Stephanie Inn unique are still in place and then some! Wedding Review: We are in our 50’s so we wanted a small more initimate ceremony. Our wedding was only 10 people (including us) coordinated by the lovely Kate Sellem of Stephanie Inn who is delightful to work with and highly professional! I’ve been a corporate event manager for over 15 years and can honestly say Kate didn't miss a single event detail! Everything was perfectly planned from the billing to the intros of the vendors (officiant, photographer, florist) to the wedding itself, all seamlessly planned. We had our ceremony outside the Carriage House on the knoll where they provided seating with umbrellas due to misty light rain. Then we held a nice reception in the Carriage House Suite afterwards with cake, champagne and Hors d'oeuvres, the room fit 10 people well, they even brough in another table and chairs for seating. They offered to do the wedding/reception inside the library of the main Inn, but we wanted something more private, so the Carriage House Suite/Knoll option worked perfectly! We also hosted a group wine paring dinner for our guests that evening in the restaurant which was beautifully organized by the restaurant staff and chef Aaron! It was so nice to not have to worry about organizing these details and vendors as Kate did it all for us! The platinum elopement package is well worth the price and includes everything you could think of. She was able to adjust some things to the package that we didn’t want in place of other things so very flexible! It’s also nice only having to work with one person. If you are looking for a small intimate wedding with a few close family or friends, this is a wonderful option. They even set up a nice evening bonfire on the beach for our group the next day, which was such a unique experience and one of the highlights next to the wedding of course! For those who have visited the Stephanie Inn, I don't have to tell you how good the breakfast is and after the remodel it almost seems even better! Chef Aaron went the extra mile for our group reception requests, plus due to some food allergies he accommodated our dinner menu requests too. While I have seen a couple reviews on the portion sizes being smaller in the restaurant for wine pairing, we all thought the entrees were ample for a four course meal so maybe they have adjusted portions since past reviews. Very delicious plus they swapped out wine for beer/mixers for our friends who were not wine drinkers. In summary we really thought everything was perfect for our entire stay and the wedding! Kudos to Kate and all the Stephanie Inn staff for making our wedding day so memorable and one that we will never forget! Thank you for your hospitality! We can’t wait to return for our anniversary!"

"Castaways is, in our experience, sadly no longer the same restaurant we've previously enjoyed so much. Perhaps it was a change with the executive chef or another key player. It's just not at the same level of quality in almost all areas food, service and menu are now all subpar. The atmosphere is the same as it has been for a number of years (since they moved into the new building . Menu the flair and eclectic mix of the previous menu is gone. Had the menu been posted online, we may not have even dined at Castaways. Food generic and bland is, unfortunately, also an apt description of the food as well. The sole? So encrusted that the flavor of the fish was completely masked. Making the dish even worse was that the lemon sauce had nearly no flavor with barely a hint of lemon. The lemon sauce was so faint that it made the flavor of the breading on the sole all the more pronounced making the dish completely unbalanced. The stroganoff was not any better. The desserts were even worse. For example, the fresh peach cobbler was basically a small 2 by 3 by about 1/2 thick bit of what tasted like a cake biscuit over an incredibly thin layer (1/4 of peaches. The entire dish was buried in heaping mounds of whip cream, which seemed like a failed attempt to make up for the lack of any substance in the dish. The saddest attempt at dessert I've ever experienced in any restaurant anywhere. Service uncomfortably bad."

"We were in Cannon Beach over the Christmas break on vacation and heard about the Irish Table. We learned that they didn't take reservations and that you waited for a seat. We went about 15 minutes before they opened to get a place in line. There were two other couples already there so we just sat (under a lovely heater) and waited. We noticed that there were also signs of a coffee shop. Hmm, we wondered if we were in the right place. When they opened the door, everyone filed into line in order (all so polite wow and each party was seated promptly and thanked for waiting. I felt like the wait in the cool night was going to be worth it. And it definitely was! Our server (who's name I've forgotten) was fantastic. He brought drinks to start and never rushed us. He offered recommendations when I couldn't decide and allowed us to enjoy appetizers, dinner and dessert without being intrusive but being attentive. We started with salads (hubby had the beet salad and I had the house salad these were large and could've been split as was mentioned by our server), we both ordered the pork chop (although I considered the veggie shepherd's pie but decided not due to the heavy cream) and we settled on a coconut trifle for dessert. Again, we enjoyed every bite on our own time and were never rushed although the line continued to form out the door. It was cold and rainy outside so we enjoyed the warm, cozy interior and delicious food. We also learned that the restaurant shares the space with a coffee shop (hence our confusion wondering if it was a coffee shop it is so coffee is in the morning (we also noticed a line there so it must be pretty good) and then a restaurant in the evening. A wonderful arrangement that works well. We would definitely return and would likely order the very same! If you're in Cannon Beach, get there early and enjoy this fabulous restaurant!"
