"I spent four years stationed at Pearl Harbor, and the spirit of Hawaii has stayed with me ever since. I've returned several times after my service, and Hawaiian plate lunches have become a family favorite. This place is incredible! The food is the real deal—true local cuisine. Everything we tried was top-notch, rivaling any plate lunch I enjoyed back in the Islands. We ordered several portions of Chicken Katsu, which is a family favorite for us, and I treated myself to the Loco Moco. It’s a delightful indulgence with a unique flavor, but they absolutely nailed it here. Don’t forget to order extra Macaroni Salad—it’s so delicious! Don't be put off by its modest location; this spot serves authentic, traditional Hawaiian food. It’s hands down the best plate lunch in the northern Denver area, and far more convenient than hopping on a plane to get to Hawaii!"

I was thrilled to discover Today Hawaii BBQ! The spam musubi was incredibly tasty—I couldn't resist and ended up eating two right away! They’re delicious warm, and I’ve saved two more for tomorrow, hoping to heat them up. I wasn’t a fan of the manapua, so I plan to stick with the musubi next time. The grilled garlic shrimp had great flavor, and I really enjoyed the BBQ combo platter I chose, which included chicken and pork along with a small side salad and macaroni salad. I went to pick up my order for takeout; it’s a small, casual place with only a few people dining in, but there were plenty of other takeout orders being prepared. Overall, I'm very happy I found this spot!

I was stuck working from my hotel and didn't want to deal with traffic, so I decided to order from this restaurant using DoorDash. Being Hawaiian, I had certain expectations for the food. I ordered the small chicken cutlet, but what I received was far from what I had hoped for. It appeared to be mechanically separated chicken mixed with parchment paper and rubber, then flattened into a patty, breaded, and fried. If that doesn’t sound appetizing, that’s because it really wasn’t. The sauce that came with the cutlet was a brown sauce that was absolutely unappetizing.
