"I’m sorry. The people here are really nice. So nice it’s hard to leave a bad review, but you must be warned. The food is terrible. Now, we were disappointed because we were hoping for breakfast but we were too late so we ordered lunch. Maybe breakfast is better. My burger was undercooked (moooo! and on an ordinary bun I can buy at the grocery store. The onion rings tasted like they were deep fried in the same oil they fry fish in. My wife’s Philly cheese steak seemed bought from Costco and microwaved: just meat and cheese, no onions, peppers, sauce, or flavor. But it’s a good story to tell how we went to Providence and had one of our worst meals ever. Sorry again. They are very nice people."

Service was good! The food was not good. My sandwich tasted like it was sitting in old cooking grease. I couldn’t eat it!

This place was terrible. It was freezing inside the food was blah not worth going there. The cook was a very nice guy and our waitress was nice but other than that I wouldn't go

Melissa’s customer was spectacular bacon and cheese omelette was good. Strong coffee. The owner Tommy introduced himself and welcomed us. Awesome place very low key and peaceful.

Reuben, seasoned fries, and iced tea for $12 and change; plenty of options under $10. Everything's made right after you order, staff are all darlings. Wish places like this were still the norm. View menu

Unfortunately, I couldn't visit the restaurant because they're closed on weekends, which is disappointing. However, I would really love to go there for breakfast, especially to try their scrambled eggs.

What a fantastic little spot in downtown! Tommy is such a genuine and approachable guy—definitely strike up a conversation if you get the chance! He’s been working here for 63 years and is 82 years old! I went with some friends in the chicken industry, and Tommy graciously made us some fried chicken. The fries were excellent too! View menu

I stopped by for a delicious all-American hamburger and fries, and I also enjoyed a few glasses of Chardonnay. The prices for both the food and drinks are exceptionally reasonable. There's no pretentiousness at this place—just great food, friendly people, and affordable prices. Our server, Melissa, was a delightful sweetheart with a wonderful sense of humor. They also have Keno, so you can sit back and relax while you play. They really encourage customers to enjoy themselves and linger a bit.

Support a local small business and go to Tommy's Place instead of another chain restaurant. There's no other place like Tommy's Place in Providence! Nothing compares to the personal service you get from Tommy himself and his home cooked meals. Delicious breakfast on the grill not microwaved like many places. Some of my lunch favorites are American Chop Suey, Pulled Pork, Burgers, Chicken Cutlet and Fried Shrimp. There is a wide variety on the menu with something for everyone. Very reasonable prices too! There's a reason many of his regulars like myself self have continued to go there for over 25 years.
