Tortas Locas - Menu

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Place was full of locals. Very friendly staff. Let us taste samples. Loved the food. Cheap and fresh. Authentic Mexican food, not Americanized. This is going to be a new regular for me!! Give it a 10/10.

Las Tortas Locas is on the east side of Roswell Road, in a little strip mall a bit north of the 285 intersection. The parking lot is cramped, hard to get into, or out of. The lot itself tends to be quite full, and the restaurant, around lunch, had plenty

Tacos de pollo (chicken), de pastor (marinated spicy pork off the rotisserie), and de asada (grilled steak) are favorites. For a bit extra, you can add grilled pineapple and cotija cheese which is totally worth it. Loco for Locas!. I wouldn't call the tortas complex or really interesting (not that they should be), but they're really good and really cheap. Service is quick and friendly and the broad salsa bar selection adds variety. It's definitely fast food, but a much better alternative than a lot of the standard stuff out there.

Its...okay. Their salsa is AMAZING. The place is filled with locals, and it very busy during lunch. I ordered two chicken tacos, and I did not like the tortilla. I must be too American-ized because their tortilla was TOO authentic for me, and it tasted terrible. I also don't like that they don't have a soda fountain, just cans. Their chicken is very delicious though.

Buford Hwy quality, in a super clean space. My office is near here and it is so nice to get my taco fix filled without having to go to Buford Hwy. Very friendly staff, no language barriers and it is incredibly clean. Health inspection score is consistently 100. Try the tacos as well as the very large and filling tortas. Very good chain. There are several of these around town, and they do Tortas, Tacos, Burritos and other items. They have a salsa bar with about 8 different items including the salsas. I have had both the Torta Cubano (with egg, sausage, beef, avocado, tomato and more and the Torta Milanesa (breaded steak *amazing* and enjoyed them both. They also have 4 different agua frescas. I don't love this location because I hate the intersection of Roswell Road and 285, but if you go at night there isn't as much traffic. Friendly staff, although language can sometimes be a barrier.

This location of Las Tortas can be found at 5841 Roswell Rd NE, Atlanta GA 30328 in Sandy Springs. It 's in a shopping center on the right traveling North outside the perimeter. The sign outside reads 'Las Tortas Locas ' I 've seen several of these around town, at least half a dozen in my travels but this is the first I 've ventured into. This is more of a lunch place and by the look of all the Hispanic speakers, very popular with that crowd. I 'd rate this as slightly above fast food more like what you would receive at Willy 's or other lunch counter order places with better quality ingredients and minimal service.

Great alternative to fast food. I had really never stopped in at one of these, but was driving by today and gave it a shot. No frills, but a huge and tasty Nortena sandwich (Milanesa w/ chihuahua and white cheese) for not a lot of money. I went with a jarritos but the horchata looked pretty darned good. Don't forget about the salsa bar because my only complaint was that there were no pickled or hot peppers that you sometimes see on this sandwich and, while it's a very fresh and tasty sandwich, it needs a little something to jazz it up a bit.I think of this as fast food and I think this is a much better option than a fast food hamburger!
