"Vasachy’s is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Baltimore. The food? Absolutely amazing—flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with love. Every bite felt like a reminder of why I’ll keep coming back. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, the quality stays top-tier. But what truly sets Vasachy’s apart is the owner. You don’t just feel like a customer—you feel like family. The way the owner engages with guests, checks in, and brings genuine warmth to the space? That’s rare. He’s easily the best restaurant owner in Baltimore—present, passionate, and all about excellence. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go. You won’t just leave full—you’ll leave impressed."

During our weekend visit to Baltimore, we decided to explore some soul food. I was really pleased with my meal; it was delicious, and the greens were fantastic! My wife also enjoyed her dish.

This is a very charming, small shop with excellent customer service. But let me tell you about the food—it was amazing! I really appreciate good curry, and their jollof rice was outstanding. I had no idea they offered African dishes like egusi, jollof, okra soup, and moimoi here!

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
