"I work at a nearby high school and sometimes bike down here for a quick lunch. I only get 35 minutes, so speed is of the essence. The place is nothing fancy... just a fast food style pizza joint, almost 100% carry out or by the slice. I always get the thin crust... I'm not even sure if they offer deep dish. Pizza is tasty with a nice sauce and good quality toppings. I just buy it by the slice for lunch, but it's a good value and substancially better foood/flavor than some other traditional Americal fast food options in the area (KFC, McDonald's, Burger King, Subway). I've only ever eaten here either while standing at a standing table by the window (and people watching outside) or more likely, I ride down the street to the John Bean Beniac greenway for a patch of grass to sit on."

Walked in to get a slice of sausage but couldn't because somebody ordered all of the slices over the phone. That's honestly kind of whack. View menu

I spent over $40 on this meal, which included some tasty wings that I enjoyed. However, the pizza was disappointing and messy. I don't think I will be splurging on this meal again in the future.

only place around the deep plate. they have not put on a tonne sauce, great pizza. drivers are always very friendly. I don't order a problem online. many thanks to all employees working in these difficult times!

I had a really enjoyable deep dish pizza at this restaurant. While I was in Chicago, I wanted to explore some new dining options and this place did not disappoint. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, and the crust and sauce were delicious. It was the perfect choice for a satisfying lunch! View menu

I used to love getting pizza from this place, but recently the quality has changed. I ordered a large pizza with three toppings for $41.52 and there was no cheese on the pizzas. The toppings were dry and brown because of the lack of cheese. I spoke to the manager and he said they had cut back on the price of cheese. I hope they improve the quality soon because I was disappointed.

It was my first time ordering from Waldo's and the pizza was hot and all the toppings where fresh. I had cheese tomatoes, mushrooms , spinach, gardenia , and pepperoni. Waldo's got all of the toppings on the pizza , and overall it was hot and very good, I can put this pizzeria next too , margaritas. I have always a person of favors , it really makes a difference when a pizzeria can create flavors.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
