"Whenever my husband and I stay in North Conway we make it a point to go to the White Mountain Cider Company. We had dinner there on Valentine's Day and as usual the food was phenomenal! I ordered the pork chop with bacon and gorgonzola topping. That was very good. My husband had a special which was cider braised pork with pasta and mushrooms. In his words it was one of the best meals he's ever had. I tried some of his dish and I wish I had got that dish instead even though I don't like mushrooms. That's how tasty it was. From the bread and butter all the way to the cup of coffee. Everything was excellent ! Harriet our waitress was very good. Even the hostess came around to make sure guests were satisfied. If you're in the North Conway area and are looking for a nice night out you can't go wrong with the White Mountain Cider Company."

Food is fantastic! A definite must if in the Jackson area. Ambiance is great except they should consider changing the lighting.

Fantastic! This is our favorite place in Mount Washington Tal. The black (referring to a dish or a drink, perhaps?) is always unbelievable!

Exceptional experience from beginning to end. Server was knowledgeable and friendly. And to celebrate Valentines Day they had wonderful little center pieces on each table to take home as a gift.

The food here is always absolutely fabulous. We have been here about a half a dozen times since moving to the area and it never fails. The foods are exquisite and so full of flavor! The service has been wonderful with attentive wait staff. Even with food allergies the chef has made the food taste magical. View menu

My fiance and I had dinner reservations for Valentine's Day. We were seated promptly and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very pretty, cozy and comfortable. Great ambiance. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Our dinners were very good. She had lamb with pasta and I had a wonderful pork chop. Drinks were excellent as was our appetizer. I would highly recommend White Mountain cider Companyand I look forward to going back.

I asked around for the best restaurant in the North Conway area, and everyone pointed me to the White Mountain Cider Company as the top spot in town. I first experienced their food at a neighborhood meeting catered by WMCC, and all the attendees were raving about the meal. Recently, I visited the restaurant with two friends, and we all agreed that we would definitely come back soon with our partners. We enjoyed the ambiance and were impressed by the service. Our server was extremely friendly, answered all our questions, and took great care of us during our visit. View menu

We've rented a ski condo at Attitash for the month of February for the last five years. White Mt Cider Co has been our favorite for their creativity and the freshness of their food. Sadly, however, we feel like the food quality has gone down hill. I had a bone in rib eye special, for example, this past weekend. It was overcooked and less than 5/8 thick. My wife had the lobster risotto which didn't taste like lobster and had a sweet sauce over it that didn't work. The service was great. Christine did a very nice job. The new kitchen looks beautiful and was very clean.

I started with the polenta accompanied by a tomato chutney as an appetizer. While the polenta was excellent, reminiscent of traditional Italian recipes, the chutney-like sauce was served cold and didn't quite hit the mark. This was surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. For my main course, I ordered grilled cod, beautifully presented but unfortunately overcooked, resulting in a crusty and dry exterior. On a positive note, the wine selection was quite impressive, though I found the prices for the red wines to be on the higher side. The biggest letdown, however, was the absence of espresso or cappuccino—basic staples that one would expect from a restaurant of this level. On the bright...

"I recently dined at Thompson House Eatery and unfortunately had an incredibly disappointing experience. While the setting and the friendliness of the hostess were positives, the overall encounter left much to be desired. The waitress insisted on ordering appetizers, emphasizing the farm-to-table concept. We opted for the highest-priced appetizers she recommended, only to find the portions underwhelming. The shared salad was unsatisfactory, and the suggestion of bread service that was made to sound complimentary added to the frustration. The main dishes, Bolognese and carbonara, were a major letdown. My carbonara was inundated with an excessive amount of black pepper, rendering it inedible. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction, the response was far from accommodating. A suggestion to drown out the pepper with Parmesan cheese was offered. To add insult to injury, the bill included unexpected charges for the bread and cheese that were initially suggested as complimentary. The mandatory 20% gratuity seemed excessive, especially given the lackluster service. The final blow was a 7% property and infrastructure fee, leaving me baffled and frustrated. Upon requesting to speak to the manager, I was met with a dismissive attitude, claiming all sales were final. The experience felt like a scam, and I regret falling for what seemed like a highly-rated establishment. After revisiting reviews, it became apparent that the restaurant's decline coincided with new ownership. I urge others to check recent reviews and reconsider dining here. It's disheartening to witness a once-solid establishment spiral under new management. Avoid Thompson House Eatery at all costs, as my experience suggests it may not live up to its previous reputation."
