"This place could’ve been great. It’s right on the river and we got there by boat. The server said she had only been there a month but she obviously lacked training. She couldn’t find the kid’s menus, didn’t know if they had lemon aid (which was on the menu), didn’t know if they had any specials. One of my kids ordered the grouper kids meal but they both got chicken strips. I ordered shrimp tacos which were served as 3 dry shrimp in a flour tortilla. There was a small pile of brown iceberg lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese to top the tacos. I also ordered sweet potato fries which were fried hard and dry. A manager apologized and said it is hard to find staff. This place has a lot of potential but right now the food and the service leaves a lot to be desired."

Worst experience Ever! 1 and 45 minute wait on food to be serviced cold food. Server never came by to refill drinks and when we spoke to manager she was defensive and argumentative rather than professional.

Best place by the river! The people are wonderful, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is lively. I've had a fantastic time here on many occasions. Be sure to try the Grouper Sandwich... you won't regret it!

This restaurant has consistently been excellent for the past seven years, but this year has been a complete letdown. The service and food were both disappointing. The atmosphere is still nice, but it used to be much better. It seems like there’s an entirely new staff now who don’t quite measure up. View menu

The entire experience was subpar and left much to be desired. The service was incredibly slow and inattentive. It took an excessive amount of time for the staff to even acknowledge our presence, let alone take our order. The lack of attentiveness and prompt service made the whole dining experience frustrating and tiresome.

The waitstaff were very friendly, but the kitchen really struggled to get our food orders right. We waited patiently for more than an hour for our appetizers. A friend had warned us about the place, but we decided to give it a try anyway. We won’t be coming back until the ownership changes, which I doubt will be long from now.

Service was absolutely 10/10, best service we have had at any restaurant in at least a decade. Wish all servers were like her. Don’t recall her name but she was blonde and had a 4 year old son (if owners are listening.)Food was pretty darn good. Blackened seasoning was way too salty but the rest of the food was good.Glad we stopped here. View menu

Absolute best place to eat!! Highly recommend Kerrie as our server, very nice and friendly, always keeps our sweet tea filled and makes sure our meal is exactly how we wanted it and if anything’s wrong she’s quick to fix it. Also recommend the chicken tenders and chicken wings kitchen staff does a great job!! Great atmosphere as wellKid-friendliness: Puts kids at their top priority when serving and keeps them smilingParking: Quite a good amount of parking space, even when they’re busy

Meal Type: Lunch Price Range: $10–$20 Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Recommended Dish: Grouper Sandwich I recently dined at this restaurant for lunch, and it was a delightful experience. The food was impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5, with the standout dish being the Grouper Sandwich—definitely a must-try! The service was equally commendable, also rated at 4 out of 5. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, making it a great spot for a midday meal. Overall, I highly recommend checking it out!

"This restaurant boasts a fantastic location, accessible by boat or via the front entrance for those walking, biking, or driving. A group of us decided to dine in and ordered a variety of items, including pizza, subs, and cheesy bread. Everything was fresh and delicious. However, I found it puzzling that they charge extra for lettuce and tomato on subs—$2 per sub for just a small portion! That seems a bit outrageous to me, considering toppings are typically included with subs. Our order of two subs, cheesy bread, and two cups of water came to $37, which feels quite steep for just sandwiches. The meatball sub was generously filled with marinara sauce, meatballs, and lots of cheese. The ham and cheese sub was packed with filling and served on nicely baked bread. There is ample seating both indoors and outdoors, offering a lovely view of the water. The staff was pleasant, though not overly friendly, and you have to request plasticware or plates. Would I return? Sure, if I was craving something quick. However, I wouldn't typically spend that much for a couple of subs for dine-in. Overall, the food was decent, but I'm hesitant about the prices—even acknowledging that costs have risen everywhere. If you're looking for hot and fresh takeaway, this is a good option. But for a sit-down dinner, I might choose a different place. **Service:** Dine-in **Meal Type:** Dinner **Price per Person:** $10–20 **Food:** 4/5 **Service:** 4/5 **Atmosphere:** 5/5"

"We rented 3 units from Fiddler’s at the Steinhatchee Landing Resort. Our units were 7, 8, and 9 of the Victorian House. The space and location on the property was great. The actual building and inside the building was not. The place is falling apart, it needs so much work. The outside and deck areas were not even functioning and inside was gross. The carpet needs to be completely ripped out. There are stains EVERYWHERE. I didn’t even let my children walk around without shoes on. They do not provide any type of cleaning products, so if someone spills something on the carpet, oh well, it’s there to stay. No cleaner to spray down your kitchen countertops and only one roll of paper towels, toilet paper, and 1-2 garbage bags. My main issue was how filthy the entire place was. I would never stay here again and am very skeptical of any properties that Fiddler’s manages. The only positive I can say is that when we communicated with one of the managers, Shelby, she was wonderful. She cared about our complaints and tried her best to make things right. She did come right over and bring us some kitchen towels and dish soap when we arrived because we didn’t have any and she came over before we checked out to hear about our issues. Another major problem was the washing machine in unit 9 was broken our entire week and I found a review on another site from a year ago that said it was also broken. That’s a bit of a problem with a family of four who are out scalloping all week and really need to wash towels and clothes."
