"We rented 3 units from Fiddler’s at the Steinhatchee Landing Resort. Our units were 7, 8, and 9 of the Victorian House. The space and location on the property was great. The actual building and inside the building was not. The place is falling apart, it needs so much work. The outside and deck areas were not even functioning and inside was gross. The carpet needs to be completely ripped out. There are stains EVERYWHERE. I didn’t even let my children walk around without shoes on. They do not provide any type of cleaning products, so if someone spills something on the carpet, oh well, it’s there to stay. No cleaner to spray down your kitchen countertops and only one roll of paper towels, toilet paper, and 1-2 garbage bags. My main issue was how filthy the entire place was. I would never stay here again and am very skeptical of any properties that Fiddler’s manages. The only positive I can say is that when we communicated with one of the managers, Shelby, she was wonderful. She cared about our complaints and tried her best to make things right. She did come right over and bring us some kitchen towels and dish soap when we arrived because we didn’t have any and she came over before we checked out to hear about our issues. Another major problem was the washing machine in unit 9 was broken our entire week and I found a review on another site from a year ago that said it was also broken. That’s a bit of a problem with a family of four who are out scalloping all week and really need to wash towels and clothes."

We both ordered the red fish special, but unfortunately, many of the sides listed on the menu were unavailable. The fish was cooked well, but I found the grits to be just average. My son ordered the street corn on the cob, which was overly soggy and not at its best. The salad bar was pretty standard. Additionally, a 15% surcharge was automatically included in our bill. Overall, I think I would consider dining elsewhere next time. View menu

We had a party of six and anticipated spending around $150, but we were taken aback when our server informed us of an additional service fee that was not included in their tip. It was frustrating to pay for $150 worth of food that fell short of even fast food quality, especially when we also had to add on a $28 service fee and an equal amount for a tip. Although we visit Steinhatchee annually, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

We were initially excited to stay in the units across the street from Fiddlers. However, upon arrival we had no guidance to check in and the room was INFESTED with roaches. Every time we turned on a light or walked from one side of the room to another we saw a new bug. It made the stay feel very uninviting. The wifi connected but was non existent. The air fresheners were overwhelmingly strong. A couple of positives, the bed was comfortable and the room stayed cool. We would not stay here again.

I stayed for a night while I was over assisting with the hurricane damage. The room was clean, cute and easy to access. I like that you could check in on your phone. The restaurant was damaged during the hurricane, but they still had bites to eat at the outside bar. Food wasn’t great, but they were doing the best they could so I’m not gonna knock them for that. It was definitely expensive that’s for sure. Maybe that’s normal I got a three scallop appetizer and it was like $18 Service was awesome, Bartender was friendly, they had live music. I definitely recommend staying here. I’d like to come back and visit when the actual restaurant was opened. View menu

If I could give this place zero stars, I definitely would. This was, without a doubt, the most disappointing dining experience I've ever had. We waited an entire hour for our food, only to receive it cold. When we informed our server, she went to fetch the manager, but he never bothered to come to our table. After we finished eating the cold meals, our server told us the manager said we didn’t have to pay since we didn’t eat the food. There was no discount or complimentary dessert offered. To make matters worse, the server was quite rude after we pointed out the issue with the food temperature. Given how expensive the meals are, the quality was simply terrible. I had high hopes because we ate here on the recommendation of a local. The short version: Service was awful and so was the food. Hardly anyone was in the restaurant or at the bar. We sat outside on the deck. After waiting a while a woman took our drink orders. She was very friendly. Another woman brought the drinks out. 10 minutes later we still hadn't been given menus. My husband went in to check if they were even serving food. He was told that the bartender was our server (he had the whole patio but he was really busy so it would be a while. She got us menus. (There were 2 people at the bar, one two top table in the bar area, and onlynus outside. We ordered burgers. I had a baked potato wi...

"This restaurant boasts a fantastic location, accessible by boat or via the front entrance for those walking, biking, or driving. A group of us decided to dine in and ordered a variety of items, including pizza, subs, and cheesy bread. Everything was fresh and delicious. However, I found it puzzling that they charge extra for lettuce and tomato on subs—$2 per sub for just a small portion! That seems a bit outrageous to me, considering toppings are typically included with subs. Our order of two subs, cheesy bread, and two cups of water came to $37, which feels quite steep for just sandwiches. The meatball sub was generously filled with marinara sauce, meatballs, and lots of cheese. The ham and cheese sub was packed with filling and served on nicely baked bread. There is ample seating both indoors and outdoors, offering a lovely view of the water. The staff was pleasant, though not overly friendly, and you have to request plasticware or plates. Would I return? Sure, if I was craving something quick. However, I wouldn't typically spend that much for a couple of subs for dine-in. Overall, the food was decent, but I'm hesitant about the prices—even acknowledging that costs have risen everywhere. If you're looking for hot and fresh takeaway, this is a good option. But for a sit-down dinner, I might choose a different place. **Service:** Dine-in **Meal Type:** Dinner **Price per Person:** $10–20 **Food:** 4/5 **Service:** 4/5 **Atmosphere:** 5/5"
