First time in Morro Bay and would definitely recommend this place. Food is pricey but was worth the price. Our server, Jordan, was really friendly and caring. He made sure we were having a good time and that we were enjoying our food. One of the bestservers I have had.

Wow, Wow....and can I say Wow. Dinner there to see the sunset and Morro Rock was so memorable. Ask for Tristan as your server. A+ individual. And the food, was off the charts. Everything so awesome. The views of Morro Bay and Morro Rock are awesome. The service left a lot to be desired; it took several times to get our orders correctly. The food was decent although it took quite a bit of time (not because the place was packed, mind you). Our friend's drink was switched with one of the patrons at the table next to ours. Prices are on the higher side for which one would expect outstanding service. Windows on Water is a charming restaurant with a beautiful view of the bay. The service is good, and the restrooms are clean. However, when it comes to the food, it clearly does not live up to the price. I tried the scallops with mandarin, mushrooms, and fried bacon for the first time. It was certainly inventive, but I prefer my bacon cooked with eggs, and it was overpriced. I also had the halibut, which was overcooked and completely tasteless. The chef didn't use any spices, neither salt nor pepper. For $200 for two people, I expected more. Unfortunately, being a tourist spot, the restaurant doesn't seem to rely on the return of tourists.
