"I haven't visited this restaurant in nearly 20 years, and it was just as great as I remembered! The baked green tomatoes are a specialty here, and they are absolutely delicious! (Yes, the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" is based on this well-established restaurant.) Today, I tried them along with homemade mac and cheese (not the fast stuff), fresh collard greens, cornbread, and tea. My lunch companion ordered the country fried steak, and they even shared a piece with me—it was fantastic! I'm quite picky about country fried steak, but this one was superb, accompanied by homemade potatoes, green tomatoes, and cornbread. There was plenty of food, so come hungry! We arrived a bit late at 2:15, just 15 minutes before they closed, and I usually avoid going close to closing time because I understand how servers feel about it. However, we were warmly welcomed by everyone! I highly recommend visiting this lovely restaurant—you won't be disappointed!"
