"I encountered a significant issue with the cashier who had an inappropriate outburst when I mistakenly ordered Yakiudon instead of Yakitori. While I understand that mistakes can be frustrating, their exaggerated reaction—stomping their feet and huffing—was unprofessional, and I did address it politely. Previously, I had no complaints about the food, but the Yakiudon I ordered this time was disappointing. It contained about 60% vegetables and very few noodles, which is not the quality I remember (I’ve attached a picture for reference; I only had six bites with noodles before they ran out). I hope this isn’t reflective of the standard here, but this is the second time I’ve encountered an unnecessarily rude cashier. After this experience, I am reluctant to return."

I really like this place. However, if you sit at the bar you get ignored and they prioritize all others over you. It is extremely hard to even get a drink/refill.

This restaurant serves the best tasting homemade Japanese food I've ever had! The dishes are freshly prepared every day and you can enjoy them with a beer or wine. I won't eat Japanese food anywhere else after trying this place. View menu

Nothing to brag home about. Could've gone to Panda Express and gotten better food. It's not a spot for a sit down restaurant set up. Definitely more of a take out kind of vibe. Don't know why it has such high ratings. Won't be going back. Husband feels the same.

Had the most delicious ramen here since I’ve been in Japan, closest I’ve seen to authentic so far. Gyoza was fantastic and was perfectly paired with a savory chili oil topped sauce. Also had Cam as my server and she was absolutely a delight, will be returning every time I’m in the area.

I was introduced to Japanese cuisine for the first time at this restaurant. I have been coming here for years because the food is excellent - I was hooked after my first visit. It feels like a taste of traditional Japan. Although it is more of a Japanese cafe, the food is truly amazing. I highly recommend the Yakitori House.

Wow, this place is definitely worth a visit—much better than other options in the Jacksonville area, without a doubt. It might not be the cleanest due to the high traffic of customers, but you can really taste the peanut oil and the quality of the ingredients in the food. It's genuinely good! The sushi and ramen remind me of what I had back in Okinawa!
