"Had a fun date night at Fire Creek. It was the holiday season and they decorated the interior to look festive. The lighting was a good dark level that was perfect for a date night. Our server Gary was amazing, we would see him the next time. Always was at the top of things and gave us exactly the right time between visits. For the food we started with Fried Mozzarella, which was very tasteful and delicious. The cheese was perfectly melted inside and outside, sitting on the top of the seasoned Marinara sauce and covered with Parmesan cheese. The main meals were the Fire Creek Burger and Fire Creek Prime Rib. The burger I told was delicious and the BBQ sauce was good. The fries were also surprisingly good, they did not look seasoned, but tasted as if they were. The Prime Rib was seldom boiled to my taste, was quite good, but I would probably be a little more season on it. It is still on my list compared to other places where I have eaten. Finally, for dessert we had a chocolate lava cake. Was served pretty fast. The cake was warm and had hot melted joint in the middle, with a bowl vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Overall had a very nice time and will probably come back to try other menu items."

"this is my typical go-to lunch spot and i really enjoy my food! I went there today and the girl at the register was really nice and gave me a great suggestion when I asked her opinion. however, every time i am here, while i wait for my to- go order there?s a man in the kitchen that waves at me which is nice but he then stares and smiles at me the entire time i wait which creeps me out. most of the time i try to order on my app ahead of time to avoid that, but this location is never available for mobile ordering. i also ordered a half chicken caesar salad and got a chicken caesar wrap instead so i was kind of bummed because i was excited for my salad!! :"

"This is the first time I've ever given a rating below five stars in my life. My experience at Smash Park was highly disappointing. I believe I visited on an off day. When I inquired about the location of the darts from a staff member at the bar, the response I received was both humiliating and dismissive. The staff member looked at me as if I was the dumbest person she had ever looked at, and, instead of answering my question, instructed me to ask someone else. I was too embarrassed to follow her suggestion. While this negative interaction may have been an isolated incident with one unprofessional staff member, it significantly impacted my experience. Consequently, I have decided not to return to this venue ever again. With all that being said, I do want to make it clear that Smash Park is probably a great place to visit, and I just had a bad experience. It seemed clean, and they offer many great games of all types. I didn't get the vibe that the place has a culture of bad customer service at all, and I really think I just was talking to the wrong person at the wrong time. I would not let my review stop you from going and experiencing it for yourself, however I did want to share my experience publicly as I really left feeling terrible about the whole thing. Also, the food was good! I highly suggest the pretzel."

"I am not one to slander a business or be excessively negatiw if it is not deserved. I had a pretty annoying experience tonight. I'll say that eating itself was delicious. I ordered the seafood alfredo. but my order was taken to my car 15 minutes after the time I was given. After eating was brought to many cars that came after me, a hired man stopped at my window to tell me that my lasted so long because someone spilled my side of the ranch in my pocket. So I waited more. when my food came out, it was also commanded with three other people, and I saw the same woman who let me know about the ranch to go to every single car in front of me and give them people their command when I had waited the longest. when I opened the bag to check my food, the keeper was ran everywhere and the bag was ran, and the ranch cup. the ranch cup was also half full. Nothing was wiped and they didn't even give me a new side of the ranch. Instead of going and asking this business what they actually did in the 15 minutes of the extra time I waited, I took the food and drove home."

"I used open tables to put me on the waiting list. When I arrived at 6:20, I was told that there were 15 parties before me and that there were about 45 minutes. After an hour, I checked and it was told that 11 people were in front of me and that I checked in at 6:45. (What I checked in at 6:20 p.m.) In total we waited 1 hour 45 minutes to sit and the hostess was very rude."

"Arrived to an empty house. Clean. Asked for the orange chicken meal. She tried to immediately ring me up. I asked if it came with anything. She said rice. I asked for the fried rice then. Then I asked about egg rolls. She said no . I asked if I could have Rangoon. She said yes . I asked for a half order. She gave me the total price again. I asked if it at least came with a drink. She said no . Never offered me one either! It came to $11.61 total, for some chicken, 3 little pieces of broccoli, 3 rangoon, and some fried rice. I grabbed my water from the car... The food did arrive in about 2 minutes though. The chicken had no vegetables (or anything else) and was salty. The 3 pieces of broccoli were cooked ok, but salty. The rice had nothing in it all all, and was salty. The Rangoon had almost nothing inside, except a smidge of cream cheese; no onion or even crab, and they too were... salty. My water was decent though! With all the salt, it would have all preserved well, but I didn 't take the leftovers home, as I knew I would have to throw it all away later. I felt cheated of my money, and left felt wanting of more. They only gave me a single napkin and a fork too; no sticks or even a spoon. Get a burger or go to Panda down the road. There 's a reason this place is always empty."

"This was our first time at the restaurant and we chose to visit during the Easter Festival. It was truly amazing, to say the least. The food was excellent with a wide variety of options to choose from. Our waitress, Shelby, was the highlight of our visit. She was the most cheerful person we have ever met, serving us with passion, love, patience, and friendliness like no other. The bathrooms were also well-maintained. The entire staff was helpful and always had a smile on their faces. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning in the future."

"We ordered Beef Pad Thai and egg drop soup, as well as Orange Chicken and tom yum soup. The egg drop soup was good, similar to what you would find at other restaurants. The broth in the tom yum soup was outstanding, but be warned—it was quite spicy! Both entrées were absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were incredibly generous; we will easily get at least two more meals from the leftovers. The prices were slightly higher than average, but reasonable for a sit-down restaurant with table service ($15-16 for each entrée and $3-5 for each soup). Our meals were served in a plastic to-go container with a lid, along with a Styrofoam container, but they also provided nice plates and silverware. I appreciated that the food was already packed up for leftovers, which avoided the mess of transferring food after our meal. We served ourselves portions on the plates and enjoyed eating from those. Throughout our meal, the staff checked in on us several times to refill our drinks and ensure we were satisfied. I also loved the long tube fortune cookies—they are so much tastier than the traditional ones! As we left, the staff wished us a good night and expressed their hope that we would return soon. I appreciated the balance of attention; I don’t like to be overwhelmed while eating, but it was nice to have our drinks refilled and to be acknowledged when leaving. We will definitely be back! Additionally, one of the staff informed us that while they don’t serve alcohol, we’re welcome to bring our own beer (she suggested the Indian grocery next door) to enjoy with our meal, although the staff isn’t permitted to handle alcoholic beverages. I thought it was very considerate of them to share this information."

"You don't make it easy to do business with you. You advertised a special on the burgers on the app but when the order was completed there was no special. Oh, I realized there's a code in an email sent to me, but while the app encouraged me to select the $6 burger option, you're left to your own devices to discover these are not connected. I realize this issue only cost us approx. $6 $7 more than it should of, but I'd just like to have one dining experience where I don't shake my head when I leave."

"We're new to Iowa so we've been eating our way around the Des Moines area and trying out restaurants that we haven't been to before. My daughter and I walked into Famous Dave's at around 6:30pm today. We didn't receive a greeting even though there were employees standing there. I approached an employee and said 2 for dinner. The employee spent a good amount of time fumbling for silverware and menus. We were seated and a waitress came and took our drink order and delivered it to us and said she'd give us a few minutes and she'd be back to take our order. I watched the waitress visit with a person that appeared to be the manager, then she visited with other employees. Then i saw her go into the bathroom, I think. She was gone for awhile and during this time my daughter and I talked about leaving because there are so many places to eat around town that we didn't need to wait this long. As we agreed to leave $3 on the table for my ice tea, the waitress came out from wherever she was and looked our way. I told my daughter she was headed our way and started to put the $3 back in my purse thinking we'd get to order our food because we really wanted to try the bbq. Sadly the waitress went to the table behind us and asked the customers if they needed a to go box to which the customers said no. So she left without even saying a word to us. That was our queue to leave. We ended up going to a competitor, Jethro's BBQ and had a great experience. Now I know why Dave's parking lot was pretty empty compared to Jethro's parking lot Jethro's has great food and great service. I don't know if Famous Dave's has good food, what I do know is they have lousy service. I don't think I'll go back to that location but if I'm in another town or state and see a Famous Dave's, maybe I'll stop in."

"The Zombie Burger Shake Lab is situated on the second floor of the Jordan Creek Mall food court, close to the cinemas. They offer a diverse menu of unique burgers and shakes to choose from. While you could opt for a standard burger or cheeseburger, the real treat is trying something different like the Poutine Pommes or a burger loaded with various toppings. However, the real standout here are the shakes. The service is quick, the food is tasty, and although it may be a bit pricier, you get what you pay for in terms of quality and creativity."

"I enjoy their fried cheese curds and fried pickle spears. The donuts for dessert are simple and delicious. There are plenty of food options for a main course. If you enjoy bar food, and don 't want a bar atmosphere, go early in the day and have some great food. If you like it more lively, leave small kids at home, and have a fun evening out. They sometimes have live music, games (only if you want to play), and other entertainment in the evenings.Kid-friendliness: The Chicken Coop has a bar type setup. We had supper early enough that it was kid (teenager) friendly. I could see that some parents with small kids might not like some of the sports playing on the tvs. And the bar is visible from most seating areas.Parking: The Chicken Coop is part of a strip mall so there is plenty of free parking."

"I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. Their pizza is fantastic and the customer service is exceptional. My friend who has a severe gluten allergy was well taken care of and they made sure she could enjoy a pizza without getting sick. I tried one of the pizzas from the menu, but the staff provided me with a few suggestions that made it even more delicious. I have only been to the location at Valley West Mall, but I highly recommend it."

"Wonderful, quiet place to have a working lunch. Service was prompt, with drinks brought right away and soda refilled the right amount of times. Myself and a colleague were meeting to go over some projects and this was the perfect location for that. Lunch portions were ideal I had the 7 pc sushi and tuna roll while she had the sushi bento box. Miso soup was served quickly, and the main courses arrived soon after. The tuna roll was neat and tidy, and there were two pieces of seared preparation of nigiri along with 5 traditional pieces of nigiri. The seared preparation was an interesting and unexpected surprise that was really cool to see. To have that much effort and focus put in on lunch prep was amazing. I’d highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to trying Wasabi again in the future!"

"The experience with a school group during the day was very enjoyable, with attentive and helpful staff taking care of us. The noise level was a bit high near the stage in the dining area, and it would have been nice to have the option to lower it while the children were playing outside. The pizza was decent, although perhaps not worth the $12 price tag for a personal pizza. It was hot and tasted good, so overall, it was a satisfactory meal. I may not specifically choose to come back to this restaurant, but it was a good fit for the children and they had a fun time."

"I used to love this place, but I have to change the rating after my last experience. apparently they charge an automatic gratuity of 20% for parties of 7 or more. which would be understandable, but they included my 1 year old, who didn 't order a meal, and we had two separate checks. I always get the same thing so I didn 't see the small print on the back aboit the added tip. although it 's not right anyway to include a toddler in the mix. the waitress forgot several items we asked for, and never checked on our table, until after we had to go to the bar multiple times to get our drinks, because our waitress was nowhere. after she ran our cards, was when we were told about the added gratuity. when I asked to speak to the manager, the manager was very rude and hostile from the beginning. I explained that it wasn 't right, she basically stole her tip. and I didn 't appreciate how the manager was being either. she took the tip off and then made the comment I will tip her for you like okay cool. maybe pay them more so they don 't feel the need to steal their tip? the food is great and I used to come here all the time. it really is unfortunate that bad service will turn away loyal customers."

"After waiting about 15 minutes, a waitress finally came to take our drink order. Shortly after we were seated, another couple was placed in the booth right behind us. When the waitress returned, she prioritized taking their order despite us having been there longer. It took roughly 20-25 minutes for our dinner to arrive after we placed our order, and during that time, the waitress didn't check in with us at all. Once our food arrived, it was excellent! However, after we finished eating, we waited another 15 minutes without seeing our waitress. Eventually, we managed to flag her down to request our checks since we needed to leave for our 6:30 appointment. Unfortunately, the waitress responded with an attitude, asking if we needed one or two checks. She took our cards along with those from the table behind us and then returned, tossing the checks down on our table without a word. To make matters worse, we were given the wrong card and had to switch with the table behind us. While the food was a definite highlight, the negative aspects of our experience were primarily due to the waitress's attitude and the unexpected length of our dinner, which took about an hour and a half. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but it certainly detracted from what could have been a pleasant dining experience. We may return in the future to support a local business, especially since the food was good. "The All you can eat Meat and Salad bar is totally worth it.... If you 're looking to drop 35 bucks for dinner. To put it simple, not all the meats were great. Most were good, some amazing, and some were underwhelming. The salad bar was pretty good. It wasn 't your typical Lettuce, cheese, ranch bar. It has items that were more kin to Potato salad. (And I can 't remember all the names of the different salads). That said, the price is the killer in my opinion (35 bucks for Dinner and 19 for Lunch). While it 's All you can eat, to really get your money 's worth, in my opinion, you need to know which meats you like the best before hand. Problem is, if you 've never been there before, you won 't know which ones are great and which ones are so so. Meaning that you 're really gonna have to stuff yourself to find that information out. All in all, I really liked the place. The staff was great at making sure you got your fill of meat. Most of the meats and salad bar were really good. And the atmosphere was nice. Just be prepared to eat a lot and spend a lot of money in the process."

"I was at Vision for Less around lunch time so I asked what is good around close by. She said Firehouse has been excellent when she went. It was a few doors East so I gave them try. Mind you I?ve had subway and Jimmy John?s and they have about ruined meeating sub sandwiches. Firehouse isn?t a cheap date but you?ll forget what it cost at your first bite! I had the small brisketand cheddar sub and oh my, my! What an awesome flavor. I think I have found a new sub shop for myself!"

"Had a $25 gift card, so I took my daughter and granddaughter to lunch. Even with the gift card and my granddaughter ordering from the kid's menu, I had to shell out a lot to make up the total. I ordered from the lite menu, and they aren't kidding when they say lite. It was a flauta, as in one tortilla stuffed with chicken, cut into 4 pieces, and decorated rather nicely so you don't notice how little actual food is on the tiny plate. That's not lunch, folks, that's a snack. I would have been left somewhat hungry, but my daughter and I split a piece of the supposedly low carb cheesecake, that I found out later really wasn't. It was tasty and filling and, again, pricey. It took a long time to get our drinks, longer to order and then longer to get our food. I think my food sat for a bit before it was brought to our table, because it was just warm, not hot. The server was very nice, but she must have had too many tables or something because everything took so long. The place was packed, so obviously a lot of people enjoy eating there. I'll pass."
