"The first course, which included appetizers, was quite tasty. However, two people in our party ordered elk carpaccio, and one ordered french fries while the other did not. One member also inquired about a lime flavor in his dish, but the waiter seemed unaware of the details of the menu and had to repeatedly check back to provide information about our meals. Additionally, the lobster bisque ordered was served cold, so we sent it back; unfortunately, it returned still cold. As for the second course, I wouldn't really consider it a course at all—it was merely grapefruit juice served in a wine glass with a spoon. Our main course featured two guests who ordered filet mignon and lobster, each requesting different cooking temperatures. When we asked the server about their temperatures upon arrival, she replied, "I don’t know." The lobsters were cut in half and attached to the shells, and everything was cold, including my risotto, which was undercooked. The last course, short ribs, was overcooked. When it was time for dessert, which we expected to be a highlight, we were disappointed once more. We received three slices of cheesecake with cold huckleberry compote in the middle of winter, along with a banana cake that was unremarkable. To top it off, we were charged $145 per person, plus the cost of a wine pairing for one member of our party that wasn’t even served with the food. All in all, we found it hard to justify spending that much money here. For better quality and a much more enjoyable experience, we could have gone to Outback Steakhouse, where mistakes are handled with more care."

"Went for the sunday brunch with a Travelzoo deal the brunch is regularly $85 per person; I think without the deal I thought it was a tad overpriced for what we received. However, we had a great time and I would recommend it, especially if you can get a discount. Pros: Excellent service! I can't say enough about the 5 star service. The wait staff was extremely great. They pour Chandon sparkling wine should I say more? Very nice and again 5 star. The food for the most part was tasty. I liked the seafood bar, which had nice size cocktail shrimp, ceviche, crab claws, ahi tuna, smoke fish and more. That was very nice and all was good. The omelet station had a good variety, though the chef was a bit slow on the orders and actually put my husband's omelet in a bowl instead of on a plate (new one for us). There was a waffle station as well and in the same area a large table with multiple desserts. The other main area had hot and cold food. There was a nice selection of salad items, fruit, rolls, cheese, etc. coffee and tea. There was a soup, lobster mac and cheese and another pasta dish. The asparagus was delicious. The pasta dishes just so=so. I was looking forward to trying the trout, but unfortunately it was just flavorless. Too bad. There was mashed potatoes and some short ribs. a chicken dish that did not look appetizing. There was a paella which was decent. Also some scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage options. What I thought was missing for the price some sort of carving station turkey, ham, roast beef, etc. Usually you expect something like that for the price. The setting was nice the Rancho Bernardo Inn, set amongst a neighborhood and the golf course was nice and the interior was comfortable. The room we sat in was super loud I'm sure the combo of freeing pouring sparkling wine contributed to that atmosphere. We were seated next to a party of 6 ladies, who were having lots of fun."
