"Out wandering Vancouver and seeking those quiet little unknown places that can often be a hidden diamond. Often, but not always. First clue was no menu posted outside, as most restaurants in Vancouver do. Entered and had to wait a few minutes for anyone to appear. Two men sitting at the bar, but no staff in sight. Finally a host arrived and delivered me to an empty table in an empty dining room. It was a little after 6pm, not "that" early and every other restaurant in the area had been overwhelmingly busy with the FC game about to begin. Host put me at a 4-person table, and left me with an iPad and no instructions. Yes, yes, I can figure out an iPad, but still, ... no instructions at all?Discovered that the iPad was only the cocktail menu, and that the actual menu was underneath. A small assortment of fine Italian dining, but nothing to really suit my tastes. I may be a bit pedestrian for a place like this, but no lasagna, no spaghetti and not much to interest me on the entire menu. Meanwhile the extra hardware was removed from the table by an irritated waitress who seemed to be rather upset about something. Very unfriendly and very dis-interested. Eventually was served by a waiter, and he was okay. I ordered a dish that I thought might be okay, it wasn't. Costs were high and service was generally underwhelming. I would not go back."

I came in last night and had dinner and drinks in the lounge with Yanal the bartender what a great atmosphere it was, he was very nice handsome and very helpful. I would for sure recommend coming in the lounge for a lovely evening.

I love the vibe of the lounge and the entire restaurant, I will do another review on the dinner shortly. The overall atmosphere is perfect. There are thirty-foot ceilings with sparkly chandeliers hanging from every end of the dining room. From the indoor fireplace, marble mahogany bar, leather sit back chairs… it all compliments the all Italian classic music in the background. For more review visit my blog The Tila Diaries

Everything is consistently excellent. The Bolognese is the best we've ever had anywhere in the world! Osso Bucco is wonderful. Halibut tasty and flaky. Meatballs are amazing. Salads are crisp and tasty. Whatever you order here will be good. Wine list is so vas it's...best to ask Teresa for suggestions. We had a Tuscan blend, that was to die for. Service is like family and Teresa, sommelier and manager, is one of the best in the business. View menu

We have often driven by this lovely restaurant intending to stop in for dinner. We finally got the chance and were completely blown away by our wonderful experience. The service was professional and prompt. The decor and ambience was romantic and intimate and the food - exceptional. We were told the bolognese was a signature dish of the chef's and we totally understand why. In fact, it has inspired us to start cooking up a big pot of bolognese regularly in the pursuit of imitating its flavour. We highly recommend the beef carpaccio (truffles shaved on top - need we say more?) and the grilled calamari. Oops and we can't forget about the cheesecake wrapped in phyllo. Normally not a cheesecake...

La Terrazza has been around for a long time, since 1998 to be exact and they've maintained a high standard. I never noticed they had Happy Hour so when we found out, naturally we had to go. (5:00PM - 7:00PM) Their house red or white, well drinks and draft beers are $5 and they have a decent selection of appetizers. We tried all the items on the Happy Hour menu, but some of the ones that stood out were:Calamari Misto - crispy baby calamari, tiger prawns, toasted garlic-jalapeno lime reduction. Seafood was not overcooked. So light and crispy.Bruschetta con Boccocini - garlic crostini, cow's milk mozzarella, vine-ripened tomato, fresh basil. Fresh, not salty at all and you can taste all the nat...

La Terrazza was rated one of Vancouver’s top ten Italian restaurants on a recent search. I was in the neighborhood and thought I’d try some light fare. Just happened to hit the “Happy Hour” between I had two servings of the “Carpacio” which comes...with a cheese flatbread! Served with a choice olive oil, Gran Padano, capers and herbs, it was absolutely outstanding as I ordered another! Also had their “Caesar Salad” with a twist! It was served with pickled eggplant and a side of olives and these sweet “drop peppers” from Peru! Never experienced them before, were they ever delicious! The appy’s mentioned above were each as it was Happy Hour! They were free as far as I was concerned. I enjoyed... View menu

Wonderful location, great food, beautiful atmosphere … but AWFUL service. I’m a server myself and I would never treat a guest the way my family was treated this evening. We took full advantage of the menu, ordering everything from cocktails, to a bottle of wine,...apps, pastas, dessert and coffee. We were treated as though we weren’t “good enough” from the get go. Steven, our server, did nothing to rectify nor apologize for the problems we encountered during our dining experience. Because I’m a server, I tried to make it easy to tell him all the things that we would need in “one shot” but Steven could barely stand still long enough to hear what I had to say. Continuing through the awkward ni...

We had not been to this restaurant in several years but at the recommendation of a friend of my wife's we attended the prix fixe wine paired event called Tasca Conti D'Almerita. We started in the bar area and were served wine with two appetizers. Unfortunately there was very little seating available and we were in a group of about forty people. After about 30 minutes we followed the crowd into a separate dining area and were seated at tables of 7. Now I understand that when serving groups there can be challenges with preparation, timing and presentation. But the two signature dishes - the Queen Charlotte halibut and the milk-fed veal - were disappointing. The halibut was dry and over-cooked...

"I really wanted to give wildfin an excellent review all over the board, but unfortunately could not. we were at some locations at wildfin, as we are seafood lovers, and on 10th september my wife went to wildfin to celebrate our 25-year anniversary. when I made the reservations, I said it was our jubilee. to our surprise, the hostess said nothing when she greeted us, and we sat in the middle of the restaurant when there were several tables on the window overlooking the river. we had to ask our server if it was possible to get a table at the window and she moved us (as it was also her station/area). the server was friendly and our eating was excellent. when my wife I shared a bottle prosecco, had a starter, two meal times, as well as a dessert share. because, as I said, it was our 25-year-old. during our visit we noticed tables near us that celebrated birthday, and we saw that these parties get a free dessert for their occasion. While we did not expect, we both commented that we also need to get a free dessert because it is our 25-year-old. We didn't. only a handwritten note to our reception with happy anniversary, as our server was aware that it was our 25-year-old. may I make a suggestion? in the future it would be a very small/childish gesture for couples with jubilees who are warmly greeted with happy anniversary at the door, as well as a free dessert for the occasion. Many thanks for their thoughts and listening."
