"I’m really puzzled by the lack of motivation I’m seeing in the workplace these days. When I called to order a custom cake, the girl on the phone told me I needed to come in to select a general cake from their freezer. I understood that customization wasn’t an option that day since it was Wednesday evening, and I was even willing to wait until the next day. After several attempts to clarify, they finally said they could accommodate my order on Friday. It felt like such a hassle just to place my order. While I was on hold, I overheard one of the staff say, “I’ll do it tomorrow; whatever, I’m not going to stress about it.” Honestly, I should have just let it go and called another Carvel instead. The cake was good, which is why I gave this place three stars, but the staff really needs to remember that, regardless of how their day is going, they should still treat customers with respect and kindness."
