"We had a 1 PM reservation for 4 people on Wed, 8/28/24. I was the 1st person to arrive at 1 PM. We looked at menus and I asked if they had any lunch specials. The waitress said No. We ordered half salads with chicken breast added. I requested bread for the table. The waitress was clearly no happy that we did not order wine. We had to ask for water refills 3 times while we were there. Lunch was delivered to our table 2 half salads with 1/2 chicken breast each. 2 salads were delivered without chicken. We requested she bring the missing chicken and bread. After about 7 minutes I went looking for the waitress. She was no where to be found. I spoke to a man in the kitchen about the missing chicken and bread. He told me he didn’t know anything about it but would get some bread ready. After about 12 minutes the waitress brought the chicken and 3 pieces of bread. There were 4 of us there for lunch. Unbelievable! When she delivered our bills we found a card inside the reads: LUNCH WINE SPECIAL: MONDAY FRIDAY 11 AM 2 PM I asked about lunch specials and she told us there were not any. Unbelievable! Lunch was a huge disappointment. I recommended Wine Dive as a good place to dine for our luncheon and I was totally embarrassed. UGH! I will NEVER recommend Wine Dive again."

"We had a fantastic experience dining at Federal Grill on Saturday evening. The host (or manager) greeted us warmly and checked in on us several times throughout the night. Being a Saturday in the Financial District, the atmosphere was quite calm, which enhanced our enjoyment. The food was excellent, especially the fried chicken, and the cocktails were unique. The staff was friendly, and the ambiance of the room was lovely."

"We took my in-laws out to dinner and they told us it was the best meal that they had ever eaten. The service was great, all of the staff were attentive and efficient. The food was delicious and I am looking forward to bringing my mother there to eat in the near future. We appreciate the fact that the restaurant has multiple rooms and that we can talk to each other without having to talk loudly. We also love the extra touches, such as the sorbet before the main course and the warm hand towels at the end of the meal."

"I don't have enough good to say about Jake's Old City Grill and specifically the owner, Paul. My husband and I moved our wedding up with less than a month to plan after unfortunately learning about a very unexpected and serious health condition of a loved one. We moved the wedding from Massachusetts to a backyard in Saginaw, and I reached out to Jake's two weeks prior to the wedding to inquire about catering the event. The food was absolutely spectacular and the customer service was astounding. Our families could not stop raving about how delicious every dish was, and everything tasted just like we were eating it in a restaurant. I cannot recommend Jake's more highly; Paul's professionalism, flexibility, knowledge, and high quality product were more than we could ever have hoped for. He was so thoughtful about the food preparation and presentation, and he clearly takes pride in his product. 10/10 experience; we highly recommend Jake's!"

"we had no great experience. we were the only table in the whole restaurant for lunch. the waiter forgot our food. the people stole the wrong court. Generally, it is not a good idea to simply go the table, put plates before them without confirming that it was her. he completely forgot that one of my colleagues had ordered at all, and when she was the only one without a meal at the table, he remembered and brought her an orange juice as an apology. he didn't ask her what she wanted, but she brought back a drink she didn't drink. so strange. eating was ok, but not worthy of the walk from the office. I could see that they have to eat here because they stay in the hotel, but don't eat there if they have other options."

"The croutons in the Cesar salad was perfect. My ribeye steak was cooked medium rare was so tender. The loaded potato was cooked well. Everything was made just right. "It has been a few years since we dined at Admiral Risty, and since the announcement of their closing, we decided it was time to go one last time and it did not fail us then and this time around! The place was packed as expected but we were seated almost immediately and once at our table it was not very long before our waiter was serving our needs. We had ordered appetizers, soup and salad and all were great! Between our entree's of flank steak and sea bass were cooked to perfection. Going to miss Admiral Risty!"

"The breakfast was excellent, however, the dinner was disappointing. The new menu is not to my liking, including the strange avocado and brie quesadilla. I was also served warm red wine in a plastic cup that I couldn't even bring myself to drink. I would recommend finding another place for dinner."

"As a long-time patron of Horatio's, I've consistently enjoyed wonderful meals and excellent service. I took my cousin for lunch because she never been to Horatio’s. However, during this visit, the seating process left me feeling somewhat confused and somewhat embarrassed. Upon arrival, the hostess led us to a table away from the window. When we politely inquired about the possibility of a window seat, we were informed that there weren't any servers assigned to that section at that time. While we understood, the restaurant appeared not quite so busy and the window tables were primarily occupied by Caucasian patrons. The table that we were led to was about 3 steps away from 3 empty tables by the window. After a few attempts, the hostess ultimately accommodated our request for a window table, which we appreciated. However, shortly after being seated, two separate groups of Caucasian women were seated at the other two empty window tables behind us. This sequence of events raised concerns about potential bias in seating practices based on race. I’ve never felt discrimination before but that day I felt we were discriminated."

"We expected a romantic birthday dinner but instead had to ask the women next to us to tone it down. Food was just okay. Mussels for an appetizer had huge shells and small mussels inside with several shells not even open. Our paella was spicy; way too spicy for me and a bit too spicy for my husband. We've had paella before in other restaurants and I could eat it all. I left most of it here. The experience fell way short of expectations and we've decided to cross this restaurant off our list of dinner places in Providence, RI. I'm a member of the Newport Restaurant Reewards program and was extremely disappointed."

"The food was flavorful, but as someone else stated, the shrimp was cooked dirty. Sangria wasn't very strong, yet very refreshing on a hot summer day. The waiter was awful. No personality, forgot my chips and salsa, had to ask even. They came after my meal. I asked for beans instead of rice, but got rice anyway. There are better choices nearby. You have to pay at the register, no table service which is super lame today."

"As usual, the food, and the service was very good. The staff seem to be down and bewildered. I asked what was wrong. They said the general manager Steve was working his last day at the Brick Brew.  We met Steve 3 to 4 years ago, and he was one of the main reasons we made the Brick Brew a regular stop. His attention to detail his sense of humor, and always being impeccably dressed are just some of the highlights.  We met the new manager, and she was very nice but dressed in a nirvana T-shirt a sweater, jeans, and flip-flops or sandals. The staff told me they were in tears when he left the building and a couple customers told me Steve is going to be the GM at Joey chops in Malvern. We will be sure to start supporting him in his new endeavor."

"eating is always good at hub 51. we tried the restaurant weekly meal and the fishtacos were undercooked. we turned them back and they were just reheated. the remaining meal was good. it took 10 minutes to get our acknowledgement as soon as we paid, but the restaurant was not so busy. it was a good evening overall, but not up to the usual hub 51 standard."

"I really wish I could rate this place higher. It’s truly one-of-a-kind. The owner and staff are incredibly kind and create a fantastic atmosphere. The live music was delightful, and the food was amazing—everything was fresh and served at the perfect temperature. The restaurant itself was clean, including the bathrooms. There’s a unique vibe here, and if you’re in search of a great seafood restaurant, I highly recommend giving this one a try."

"disappoint the fine culinary experience in total. if they pay almost $1000 for a meal, they expect a certain amount of service and ambiente. the restaurant was too loud to even talk with people at our table, the service was inconspicuous, slow and distracted, our few seafood appetizers was missing us several objects we had ordered, and the main retreat lasted an hour and a half to reach us after already a considerable amount of time to be sitting, getting drinks and getting ready to eat. we were not even offered drinks for more than 15 minutes after sitting. then they were weeping from several different bottles we tried to order. I was so surprised by this all-encompassing shocking encounter, as we had more than one positive experience here in the past. I'll be thinking later."

"We drove by and they looked busy. We walked in and got a table right away. The service was amazing. Our waitress was great and attentive. The portions were huge, even the appetizers. We got the frito misto, prime rib, crab with mahi mahi, and shrimp en croute. The frito misto was not heavy for being fried. The entrees were piping hot, even the baked potato. The chargrilled asparagus was delicious and memorable. Everything was well seasoned. By the time our entrees came, we were getting full because the food was rich. I was blown away with the experience and delicious food. Would highly recommend for dinner in the area."

"The restaurant is very good, the food great, the service is slow, seems short of hand. What I didn't like is that when I mede the reservation on Open Table they told me that there was only room outside and that they will hold the reservation time for only 5 minutes, when I got there, the inside of the restaurant was almost empty (actually they offer to sit us inside). Outside was beautiful so we preferred to sit outside. There is a lack of communication between Open Table and the restaurant. During the almost two hours that we were there, the dining areas were almost empty."
