"I showed up and didn’t get attended for 30 minutes and I’ve eaten here one other time, and I know my orders because it’s the same in every place that has pasta, and it’s anything with Alfredo sauce, this time the waiter gets to me and says there isn’t any, and walked away and didn’t come back for another 30 minutes, then a different waiter walks by with fettuccine Alfredo, so I went and asked him, and of course he said they had it, so then I went to lady that led us to our table and brought this all to her, just for her to go and ask the first dude and get the same answer of, no there is no Alfredo sauce, very poor service from a restaurant in this location."

"Disappointing to say the least! As a restaurant started by a celebrity chef, I had expected much better then what we received. I guess my first clue should have been that they had availability for Christmas eve mid-November. The term rooftop restaurant is a stretch. The venue is nice but is it Instagram worthy, I would strongly disagree. It’s pretty but when I compare it to places who put a lot more effort into their venues and combine it with quality food, Serra Barreira falls short. We were there for the 2023 Christmas eve day in the city with my family that we’ve been doing for years. We’ve been going to a different restaurant each year until now we’ve never been disappointed. We ordered a selection of apps, pastas an entrée to share. I was disappointed that the menu was identical to what’s offered at Eataly Downtown’s La Pizza La Pasta, where you order at the counter. Let’s start with the breadbasket. It basically consists of 2 pieces of bread either $4 with olive oil or $10 with Ronnybrook butter. Really?! I thought I misheard the waiter. For appetizers we ordered zucca arrosto. Three sections of bland undercooked butternut squash, drizzle of stracciatella hazelnut vinaigrette. Did not taste the hazelnut. Arancini was basically 3 small bland rice balls rolling around a cake plate. No extras like sauce. For our pastas selection, we ordered the gnocchi with Parmigiano Reggiano crema it was supposed to have Villa Manodori balsamic, but they forgot that last bit. Butternut squash ravioli was tasty, but sauce was bland. Lastly, we ordered the roasted ½ chicken that I think was mislabeled. I strongly believe it was really a Cornish game hen loaded with bits of cartilage bone, as well as being dry. We ordered 2 cocktails, fig mule and winter old fashioned both nothing to write home about. We’ve been going to NYC for Christmas eve for years and have enjoyed some amazing food drinks over the year, until this year. You need to do much better Serra Barreira!! There are amazing places that offer incredible food by non-celebrity chefs they can beat you at any cook off. To sum it up, spend your money elsewhere because it will be a waste to spend your hard earned money here!"

"We ate at Monte Jade when the Gaylord first opened and it was fantastic! They were closed during COVID and must’ve just recently re opened. Our reservation was at 8:30 and there was not very many people in the restaurant but they sat us right by the main entrance and a busy walkway which I thought was strange. They were out of several items on the menu. We ordered several dishes for all of us to share. Everything was average not great but not bad either. The service was great. The price for the food did not reflect the taste as I felt like I could’ve gone to my favorite local take out Chinese and gotten the same quality for a quarter of the price. Hopefully they step it back up!"

"We have walked by this place so many times and, on a friends suggestion, who finally had dinner there. The ambiance was warm and comfortable and not overly trendy. The food was authentic and very delicious. We could all hear ourselves talk and we had some hearty laughs because of the easy going atmosphere. All 5 of us had nothing but praise and in a heartbeat we decided to have our next monthly dinner there. Thanks for a perfect evening! NYC could use a lot more restaurants like Rafele."

"We had a Saturday dinner on the patio (the sidewalk between a busy side street and a neighboring garbage shed The servers were lovely, working hard, and very accommodating. The food was fine, the cocktails were light. Between the incessant honking, the NYU kids crowding the sidewalk, the wafting smell of trash, and the pop music blaring from inside the restaurant, it felt a little expensive for it was...fine Maybe during a weekday (or not during a pandemic"

"Good food....fair to poor service from our primary waitress. She failed at the basics: did not greet us, did not offer to answer questions about the menu, did not ask how our meals were once they were served (by someone else I might add), hovered around our table looking for opportunities to pre-bus the table and I could go on. The whole experience felt rushed and awkward at times. She dropped the check without asking us if we'd like dessert or an afternoon drink. Needless to say, we'd return, but wouldn't be shy about asking for an alternate wait staff as this was among the poorest experiences I've had at a restaurant asking for $30+ per plate."

"My favorite Italian restaurant in Los Angeles! I've visited several times, and the service is outstanding! This time, we ordered the Bisteccona and the Pappardelle Verdi. The steak had a unique and distinct flavor and was cooked to perfection. The Pappardelle was perfectly al dente and came in a delicious creamy sauce. The wine we ordered was fantastic; they have an excellent selection of wines here. For dessert, we had the Strudel, which was very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant. There’s meter parking available as well as valet service."

"I would not recommend Fabbrica to any diners. First, we had a reservation and even showed up 10 minutes early, yet we were left ignored by each server for 20 minutes. Each server was acting frantic as if it was first day on the job for all of them even though the restaurant was not even close to capacity. When we finally were seated, we were again ignored, not even offered drinks, for close to 15 minutes. The food was mediocre at best. It was my friend's birthday, and at the end they asked me (aside) if he would appreciate a piece of cake. I said no because we had plans after, but they insisted it would be quick. Then they attempted to charge almost $10 extra for the small piece of cake that usually comes free for someone's birthday celebration?! This place is a joke."

"My girlfriend and I literally just returned from a wonderful trip to Tuscany. While there we visited a gorgeous vineyard called ‘Vecchie Terre di Montefili’ in Greve, Chianti. We tasted Several outstanding Chianti wines and purchased several bottles to take home. During our stay we were introduced To the winemaker Who told us that they run to restaurants right in our backyard; ‘I Trulli’ and ‘Ristoro Del Cinghiale’, Right in our backyard in the Flatiron district. Since we had such an amazing experience at the Vineyard, I thought it would be great to continue our Tuscan vacation back home in New York City. What a treat! Both restaurants are literally side-by-side to one another and worth the trip! The food was outstanding, with the pasta being freshly made in house And the wine directly from their vineyard in Chianti. Being that I had had my fill of pasta personally, I tried the Chicken under brick, which was incredibly succulent and delightfully seasoned and cooked in their brick oven. My girlfriend had the pasta Bolognese which was a delight as well. This is a fantastic spot for a date night if not for every day dining. Do yourself a favor and go!"

"The Radiatore vegetarian dish was great (fresh house made pesto, perfectly cooked pasta, roasted pine nuts). The Affogato was delish, very yummy and unique with the added thinly sliced roasted almomds and tiny bits of dried orange. Our server was friendly and attentive. Very nice athmosphere and elegant decor."

"I can't say enough good things about Maialino. First, the staff is top notch from the moment you walk through the door, to your server and wine service--impeccable. Food allergies? No problem and always attentive to my needs. As for the food, as an admitted carnivor that eats super low carb, let's just say that I was over the moon with their selection, quality products and perfect execution. I've had nearly all of their main courses, but to this day, always look forward to the roasted pig. Just wow! Another amazing meal at Maialino."

"I’ll be back! Wonderful lunch! Went with a coworker and had such an awesome experience! We shared a Caesar salad and the dressing was great! I had linguine vongole which is one of my faves so I’m incredibly picky and it was delicious! Clams were perfectly cooked and the sauce was flavorful and perfectly balanced. My friend had the gnocchi with black truffles that he enjoyed. The server was attentive and charming. The place is adorable exposed brick and wood."

"Best pizza in the North End! Marina was our server and was so accommodating, it was incredible! Pizza was absolutely delicious as was the mozzarella Fritta. They had some great suggestions for dessert in the north end which we also thoroughly enjoyed. Location to public transportation makes this place number one in my book!"

"Disappointments and one delight best sums up our experience. The delight was dessert, which took forever to be served--one of the disappointments. We weren 't charged for the dessert, and we didn 't have to gripe to get it comped--the server apologized and said there 'd be no charge. We also weren 't charged for the calamari we ordered and never received--it didn 't even make it onto our receipt, so apparently the fairly harried waiter never recorded it. However, we were charged plenty for the pizzas, neither of which was particularly warm when it arrived. The crust on my wife 's was well cooked but soggy underneath, although mine held up to the unmelted Parmesan and cold arugula just fine. My wife 's $13 glass of house chianti was OK but clearly overpriced; $7 for my Peroni seemed a little high, even in New York. The ambience was nice enough--families dining, kids frolicking, locals and tourists strolling past, combined with a sobering view of the North Tower memorial pool a couple of hundred yards in the distance at the World Trade Center site. We 'd go back again to give Eataly another try, but it would be with trepidation."

"Horrible waitress, brunette curly hair so you can identify her. She added the 20 per cent tip to the bill (we were a party of two), I complained and she refused to take it out. She threw the bill to us in our first course, saying that her shift was finishing but she stayed there. She also treated us in a very condescending way. The only good things was the pizza which tasted really good, like in the other franchises, so if you can choose avoid completely this location as its service sucks, or at least that particular waitress."

"Our dinner experience here was downright disappointing from start to finish. Here are some notable points: The wait staff and manager were often inattentive or even rude, despite the fact that we were one of only two occupied tables on a Saturday evening. The food was quite underwhelming overall. The highlight was the prosciutto and burrata salad, which was genuinely delicious. However, the meatball appetizer arrived barely warm, and the cavatelli pasta tasted like something out of the frozen food section. We ordered a bottle of red wine, but it was served warm—definitely not room temperature, just warm. The "ice bucket" was essentially a clay vase with five ice cubes at the bottom, and unsurprisingly, the wine never chilled to a proper temperature. As for the bugs, while we can't really blame the restaurant for that, there were a lot of gnats outside (wine attracts them, I understand), so we moved indoors. Unfortunately, the table inside was sticky to the touch, which was unpleasant. In summary, we were eager to leave and won’t be returning. It seems that some restaurants on Vanderbilt assume they can coast by due to the weekend street closures."

"I recently dined at the Italian restaurant and had the most delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and felt like a valued guest. The ambiance was charming and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The food was absolutely exquisite, each dish bursting with authentic Italian flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauces were rich and flavorful, and the desserts were decadent. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff Aleksei) who went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was flawless. I truly felt like I was being taken care of every step of the way.Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. It is a true gem that offers a taste of Italy right in the UWS. I will definitely be returning soon to indulge in more of their delicious dishes. Grazie mille for a wonderful dining experience!"

"One of the best restaurants I've eaten at this year and easily some of the best Italian food I've had outside Italy. The prochetta and homemade ravioli were outstanding. The calamari was very good too. Portions were perfect and price reasonable for the strip. Great service too. We will definitely recommend to family and friends and next time in Vegas I'll be sure to book here again."
