"I don't frequently visit Subway, but since it was nearby, my mother-in-law and I decided to give it a try. She ordered three footlong subs, with one being half tuna and half cold cuts. We thought it shouldn't be an issue, considering we were paying customers and hadn't requested a discount. We expected to be charged appropriately for each sub. However, when we were being rung up, an employee named Kate (a slim, young white woman with longer light brown hair and grown-out blonde highlights) had a negative reaction. She loudly belittled the young man (a slender, light-skinned white male with brown hair, whose name I can't recall) who made the sandwiches, and it was clear he was uncomfortable. Nonetheless, he handled the situation professionally and remained calm while trying to accommodate her. While I was waiting to place my order, I noticed there were horse flies buzzing around the restaurant. I asked if they had a fly swatter, and Kate responded dismissively, asking, “Why would we have a fly swatter? Does it look like we sell them here?” Taken aback, I replied, “You have flies all over your store.” Her response was, “Not my problem; they’ve been in here all day. Deal with it.” At that point, I was so put off that I couldn't even convey my order to the nice young man; I was simply disgusted. The bottom line is that Kate needs to be let go immediately! She provided the worst service I've ever experienced at Subway. On the other hand, the young man working that day deserves a promotion and should be considered for a position in corporate customer relations or quality control, as he handled everything with grace and professionalism."
