"On a positive note, the restaurant itself is beautiful and clean, and the music was just right. I really wanted the food to be exceptional. For the quality I received, I would have felt better paying $12 for that sandwich. In terms of meat flavor, I think Chick-fil-A does it better.
The atmosphere and the overall design of the place suggest a higher standard, so I was expecting above-average food, but I left disappointed. The meat could use more juiciness and flavor. I understand they may not be able to smoke the meat for 10 hours, but there needs to be an improvement in food quality.
The chips weren't soggy, but they were so bland—I'm not even sure if they had salt on them. I dipped them in ranch dressing just to make them edible. I appreciated the BBQ sauce being served on the side; it had a sweet taste but was just okay—not memorable at all. Given the restaurant’s appearance, I expected much more.
That's why I'm giving it 4 stars: the owners clearly invested a lot of money and thought into the design and ambiance. However, they might want to rethink the menu and add some more flair. Just my two cents. Although we’re not locals, I doubt we’ll return. There are other places we’d be willing to travel for, but unfortunately, this isn’t one of them.
I'm sharing this review because I'm hoping someone can create a sandwich that rivals my dad's BBQ. So far, his cooking is the best I've experienced."
