"Food I am so happy that I found another five-star restaurant. The food was top notch. We had oysters, pop over and fried calamari as starters. The oysters were so fresh that I did not want to stop eating them. The pop over was something we went back and forth if we should order. It looked like a muffin and we were afraid it might be too much. We asked the waiter for advice and he said it is very light. You know what? The top over is a must try. It is almost like a balloon and tastes amazing with some butter on it. The fried calamari didn’t disappoint as well. For main course, we ordered lobster spaghetti and fried chicken. Both of them were very flavourful and the portion was generous. At that point, we were too full to order any desserts. Everything else The service was fabulous. Our waiter was friendly and gave us good advice on the menu. During the dinner, I knocked down my cocktail, and they quickly came over to clean it and gave me a new one. I will definitely go back."

Very pleased with food and service. It was a busy Saturday when we went and quality of service was not affected. Was glad to see they had a dedicated wine waiter that was very knowledgeable. Menu was on the small side due to it being mainly seafood. All seemed tasty!

Our brunch experience was absolutely delightful! We visited to celebrate a birthday, and the staff made the occasion truly special. Everyone was incredibly friendly. The homemade pop tart was extraordinary! Overall, the food was fantastic—I'd recommend this place to anyone in Salem.

The place has a great vibe, and the donuts are fantastic. However, we ordered the pastrami Reuben Benedict and were disappointed. Instead of the hollandaise sauce with a hint of Thousand Island dressing that we expected, it was replaced with a salty and unpleasant salad dressing. We couldn't even finish it. Visualizza piatti

The Ledger was our absolute favorite stop during our trip to Salem! Hands down the best meal I've ever had, the atmosphere was wonderful, the building was beautiful (I loved how they played on the fact that the building used to be a bank) and the customerservice was the best! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a fancy meal or celebrate an occasion!

Ledger has phenomenal food! A small but succinct menu at a high but fair price, everyone was satisfied with their dishes. The venue is very cool; everything is bank related right down to the safety deposit boxes used as separators for tables. This wouldhave been a 5 star rating but the espresso martini was easily the worst I've ever had. It was sedimentated within the 30 secondsI had received it (pictured). Other than that, great place.

Had the best time hosting my baby shower at The Ledger. The food/cake/donut display was all absolutely amazing and the Macomber room is just stunning. Ashleigh was a great event planner and super helpful throughout the whole process. I also want to givea huge thank you to Maura and Oscar who went above and beyond for us during the baby shower. September 2022: The restaurant is located in downtown Salem and has a very nice outdoor patio for safe pandemic time dining. It also lets you people watch the interesting visitors dressed to impress. I had tuna tartare and duck breast. They were bothokay, but not outstanding. Tuna was not as flavorful as I hoped, and the duck was smoked, which is not my favorite flavor. Thepresentation was beautiful, and the service was excellent. The star of the dinner were popovers. Every table had an order ofthem. The bathrooms are shared with the restaurant next door so very crowded.

I love food, to the level where I plan all my travel meals in advance. Ledger DID NOT disappoint. In fact, it is a meal I will dream about. I don’t know how they made a humble cabbage or green beans so spectacular. They were charred and infused with asmoky flavor but still tender. Even my vegetable hating husband loved them! The chicken is not something I would typicallyorder but the waitress raved about it. She wasn’t wrong. This is not they type of chicken you’re preparing at home. And thepopovers are a must. Service was attentive and the atmosphere (former bank with vault and safe deposit boxes) was a vibe. I’dcome back to Salem just to eat here again.
