"I happened to be in the area with my daughter waiting on a flat tire repair and was hungry and figured we would give it a try as there were not many options in walking distance. The food was so flavorful, even the small side salad. The meal was paired with the perfect sauces and reasonably priced. We had the lunch special for like $8. We dined in, and the service was fast and friendly and cooked to order. There is a free parking lot. It was cozy, small, and likely family owned. I can't wait to get something else on their menu."

My first time to taste Afghan food and this place will be one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago! The food is delicious and the part is huge. Either gather friends or a simple meal for one, you can't go wrong with this place.

We had the Lamb shank Entree and Chicken shish kabob and it was the best ever!! Marinated, tender and fresh food. I have been a customer here since 2018 and appreciate their hospitality and hard working people to make such great food.

We ordered to go 3 and 2 combo entrees and potato samosas. Everything was delicious and tasty! We especially liked the aromatic garlic ?sesame sauce and the hot ?green samosa sauce. We will sit at the little patio next time when the weather is warmer. We will be back! View menu

"I was a bit worried when I saw that the menu had changed, fearing that this reliable favorite had come under new management. But I shouldn't have been concerned! I ordered the ash soup and the cattle mantu, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The mantu, in particular, was one of the best things I've eaten all year!"

We visited this restaurant two weeks ago and enjoyed some delicious food. Ms. Farida was extremely friendly, and the hospitality was excellent; she even offered us tasty kabobs. We decided to go back last week, and to my delight, she recognized us. The staff is very professional and approachable, and the restaurant itself is really clean. I would love to go there every week to enjoy their food. Their prices are reasonable, and the portions are quite generous.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
