"First we were seated at a table outside with the umbrella down in way for us … We said something to the server but she just walked off … Turned out it was broken but me and a friend got it up after messing with it … We ordered a Panzerotti, 14” Asiago Cheesesteak Pizza “hand tossed” and a 14” Asiago Cheesesteak Pizza “Chicago-style” … Food was good besides the 14” Chicago-style … For some reason the green peppers and onions were cut into huge chunks avg 1” x 1” and didn’t not cook !!! Very raw !!! But on the hand toss were cut small … So we just didn’t eat the stuffed pizza … Our server brought the bill … I asked the server for a small container so my friend could take some pizza home … She replied yes and left … She came back and took the bill and brought the copies back with no container … We wrote the tip in and just left … Been coming here for years and never had such a feeling of wasted time …"

If you like Italian beef this is the place for you! Also had the onion rings and they were scrumptious. View menu

My family celebrated my 80th birthday at Ala Roma and everything was perfect. This is one of our favorite places.

They have great Zoodles, nice healthy alternative to pasta. I really like the alarm vodka sauce. Sometimes the takeout times are not always correct. I always wait a few extra minutes before I go get it.

Food is always delicious, the waitresses and bartenders are always very nice. We often order the Italian beef for family gatherings. Take out food is ready to go when promised. There is a nice outdoor patio to enjoy the summer and fall days. View menu

Not impressed with our server Neveah. First off she made the comment “oh another separate bill” with attitude. When ordering she was very impatient kept asking who was next and ended up forgetting drinks that were ordered. Definitely no service with a smile. She kept reaching over people because she couldn’t wait two seconds for us to move stuff out of the way including a baby that she almost spilled hot soup on. Then the fact that one of my family members overheard her in the back complaining that she has a big group that all need separate bills and that they better tip big. Other than the service our food was great.

This was not my first visit to Ala Roma’s and it will NOT be my last. The atmosphere of the place is friendly and nostalgic. The service has always been great and the food, well let's just say the food is wonderful. Not the best Italian food ever, but sure it sure is close. The sauces taste homemade, the pasta cooked perfectly and the meatballs are to die for. There is sometimes a short wait because the food is so good. My last meal was Ziti with mushrooms in an Ala Vodka sauce. So very good! The prices are reasonable and in line with good food, cooked right. Located right off of I-41 in Fond Du Lac, WI. This is a must eat location. Stop in, you will enjoy it!

"We stopped here after a LONG day of driving and hiking with big appetites and the desire for a strong drink. The Cellar District is inside a repurposed church and it is spectacular (amazing, cool, chose your superlative). I don 't have an eye for design, but the interior design here is top notch. Many of the classic architecture was either repurposed or recreated to turn this into a restaurant. The bar especially, it looks like it belongs in a church with plenty of ornate wood and wrought iron. So cool! Seating was plentiful, and service was quick enough. It was a busy time, and they might have been short a server or two but everyone was hustling. The good: Lots of fresh menu items. The truffle cheese curds were probably the best I 've ever had. The peanut coleslaw bed beneath the ahi tuna was equally amazing. The coconut crusted sea bass was huge and largely delicious, although the coconut didn 't stand out. The less good: Drinks were weak in both spirits and flavor. I 'd skip the cocktails and go with beer if I were to come back. The bad: The first attempt at the sea bass was way way way undercooked. Raw in the middle, but immediately addressed by our server. Also two stalls in the women 's bathroom isn 't sufficient during the busy time (restaurant capacity is huge) and there was often a line. Definitely disappointing lows, as this was an amazing location, with amazing food options, amazing service, VERY reasonable prices, and amazing (although inconsistent) quality. If we were local we 'd definitely be back to try more on the menu. Despite some of the misses, we really enjoyed our visit and we would recommend this to nearly anyone (with a 'warning ' or two)."
