"This restaurant is closing August 31, 2024 after 45 years. Get there before they do. Quiet atmosphere, excellent service, absolutely the best food available in Anchorage. Our meals ran about $120 for bread and olives (included), appetizer, signature Caesar salad, entree with vegetable sides, dessert, and wine/beer--worth every penny! Crab crusted halibut juicy and filet mignon were our choices. Get there before they close forever!"

"My ratings for this place is 3.5 stars. I made 8:30 PM reservations for this place for dinner after of day of excursion and were really looking forward to the dinner. After reading the Yelp reviews were really excited to try this place. We ordered seafood skewers with couscous, catch of the day with polenta, salmon with vegetables and chicken pasta with Alfredo sauce for entree and for appetizers we ordered seafood bruschetta, crab cakes and some other bread. The appetizers were great but we barely were done or rather still working on our appetizers that they brought the entree, here we felt a bit rushed. My entree was barely warm, halibut with polenta, and the polenta wasn't creamy but dry. I shared my concern with them, they told me they will get me another and by the time they brought my food all my friends food were done and this time my fish was overdone and dry and polenta was the same, however it was warm. The salmon and the skewers too felt like they were prepared and were sitting in the kitchen while we were finishing our appetizers. However, the skewers and pasta tasted good. I just requested for my food to be packed, and decided to skip the desserts. The ambience is pleasant but I wish I had a better experience."

"We had the smoked salmon fettuccine and halibut and chips. Both were very good. Pasta was a little too al dente and the alfredo was a bit thin, but still the flavors were on point. Halibut was perfectly fried and the shoestring fries were hot and crispy. The pineapple whiskey sour was one of the most refreshing cocktails I’ve had in a long time. The ginger lemon drop was smooth and sweet. Definitely will be back for more."

"I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant, which has been around for 20 years. The service was excellent, and the food was nothing short of exquisite. The cake was served warm, fresh, and delicious. Jen's offers a clean and inviting atmosphere, complete with tasteful art and decor that creates a pleasant ambiance. It truly was a perfect experience, and I can see it quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants. They even surprised us with a personal card and a picture to make the evening feel special. The kitchen staff noticed us and other guests and took a moment to thank us and wish us a good evening. This place boasts a classy vibe, along with highly talented chefs and management. I highly recommend it!"

"When we used to live in Anchorage, we would frequently dine at Theater Pub almost every week. Even after relocating, we made it a point to visit whenever we returned to the area. Unfortunately, our recent experience left us feeling quite disappointed. The restaurant has implemented a new and inconvenient ordering system where patrons must first sit down to review the menu, then stand in line at the host station to place their orders while also being directed to their tables to peruse the menu again. Although the food arrived promptly, our burritos were overly greasy and lacked flavor. Additionally, we ordered a side of chips and were surprised to receive a small paper bag containing only about 10 chips for $2.50. While we understand that prices may have increased, this seemed unreasonable."
