"Great Indian food. I went with my friend who knows this cuisine quite well and I’m happy I went. We tried a number of dishes and they were all good. The tandoori chicken was plentiful and it tasted great. The prices might seem a tiny bit high but for what you are getting it’s actually fairly priced. I plan on coming back again. The waitresses were also very nice and attentive. I didn’t loove the garlic naan but I also didn’t get anything to dip it in so that could have been the issue. It’s a not a super fancy looking place but it’s perfect. Overall a good experience and I will be happy to return."

Portions are generous, but most of the entries consist of the same unseasoned meat/chicken/fish drowned in different color and all but indistinguishable cream sauces. The descriptions found on the menu don't present in the food itself. View menu

Anar offers some of the best Indian cuisine in Harlem! Whenever I'm craving Indian food, this is my go-to spot. They offer the option to spice up your Chicken Biryani if you can handle the heat. My only suggestion would be to add fried onions on top of the biryani for an extra burst of flavor. Other than that, everything is delicious!

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The lunch special offered a generous portion of food, even more than what was shown in the picture. The veggie jalfrezi entree was of high quality and delicious. However, the Ginger Gobi dish was overly breaded and not very exciting. Despite this, I will definitely be returning to this place in the future. I am happy to have discovered this gem!
