"Andala Coffee House offers a peaceful respite for those in search of a breakfast or brunch with an exotic twist. It’s decorated with charming Middle Eastern inspired decor, and on my recent visit, the relaxed ambiance and attentive staff ensured a pleasant dining experience.Looking for a more filling start to our day, my friend and I chose the Kufta Besiniah and Chicken Kabob for our brunch. Both dishes, served with rice and vegetables, proved to be excellent choices. The Chicken Kabob was particularly good. Crafted from tender chicken breast, the dish was moist and flavorful, avoiding the dryness that often plagues this cut. The accompanying Jineen salad, a mix of cucumber, fresh parsley, and tomatoes, added a refreshing counterpoint to the savory kabob.Equally enjoyable was the Kufta Besiniah, a sumptuous dish featuring a 'meat pancake ' of baked ground beef, generously topped with fresh tomatoes. Despite its thickness, the beef remained tender and succulent. Paired with onions and grilled bell peppers, this dish provided a satisfying complexity of flavors. The Andala Coffee House proves a cozy haven for those in search of an interesting, filling brunch. It 's a delightful experience well worth the visit."

I came here around 8pm to do some late night work and was able to find seating without any issue. The Chai Latte and Chicken Shawarma Plate were both delicious. Would definitely recommend! The service was super friendly as well!

Low key service, order at counter or from your table. There’s more tables in the basement where the kitchen also is. Very Arab menu and sensibilities, so you’re dropped into a different food zone.Overlooked because it is just off the beaten path. Fun to try and experience the Middle East.

Such a quaint café with surprisingly a great amount of sitting available. Stumbled upon this gem by sheer luck and I’m glad I did. I needed a wake me up so order the Arabic coffee which is so aromatic and strongly amazing!! 10/10 recommended and I’m definitely a return customer InshAllah. Kudos to Andala staff for the Amazing customer service! View menu

Friendly yet inattentive service. Self-service (as in get up and go get it yourself) on the water, which is a tad annoying because they still expect full tips. Food was unremarkable. Falafel overcooked. Hummus bland. Pita dry, almost stale. They overcharged my side order of two eggs, which shows as $2.95 on the menu; however, they rang it up as two separate $1.95 sides. Wasn’t worth saying anything but it was totally necessary in order to avoid leaving hungry. Likelihood of return visit: low.

When I say Andala has everything and does it well, I mean coffee, tea, other excellent non-alcoholic drinks, desserts, breakfast, lunch, dinner, every type of space to relax/do work/chat in both indoor and outdoor, and if you would like to partake, hookah.A quintessential Cambridge secret that Harvard college folks don't seem to know about at all, and a must visit that is affordable, full of wonderful staff, complete with impeccable vibes and deco, and will not disappoint.IMO this place deserves a Michelin star.Vegetarian options: Let your server know!

This is such a cute place. It’s a house retrofitted to be a restaurant. It has great decor, very chill vibes. My friends and I sat on a porch area that was out of the sight lines of the waiters, so it took a while to order and pay the billI got an apple juice and a mushroom omelet. I didn’t expect the apple juice to be green apple, so I was surprised by how sour it was. The omelet needed more mushrooms and to have the cheese spread out more. Most of the cheese was lumped toward the middle, which made me think there wasn’t any cheese while eating the outer edges. The omelet comes with toast and potatoes. The toast was fine, but the potatoes were almost burnt. But it was a filling meal in a cut... View menu

I am in awe of how terrible the service was here. It's a shame because the place is really so cute. When you walk in, no one greets you but you are expected to know that you may seat yourself. Once you do seat yourself, good luck getting approached by a waiter. If that waiter arrives, don't even think about needing anything else during your meal, because they won't check on you. My meal was served incorrectly (with tomatoes on it even though I am allergic to tomatoes... and no one made sure our food was alright after we were served. Once it's time for you to pay, you'll wait 30 minutes to ASK for a check. And then they will forget to give you said check. They don't want you to pay at the reg...

I was looking for a coffee shop to get some work done, and this was a great choice. On a Sunday morning/afternoon, it was pretty busy, so I grabbed a seat at a counter and ordered a mocha. In addition to the floor that you enter on, there 's a downstairs too with more tables for small groups that would be great for eating. he coffee was fine, though I wasn 't particularly blown away. The mocha flavor was not very strong and it wasn 't very hot/cooled very quickly. That being said, it 's more than adequate as a spot for casual work, brunch, or people watching. It 's an Arabic coffee shop, and the décor definitely celebrates that and emits a busy vibe. I thought it was quite interesting that t...

"Great casual fine dining experience in a quiet Cambridge neighborhood.Took a visit here for dinner on a Saturday night. Its casual and rustic interior blended in perfectly with the atmosphere of the neighborhood, and our servers were very welcoming. We were initially planning to do the tasting menu, but the regular a la carte menu seemed too good to miss. We ended up ordering a bunch from their regular menu which turned out to be the right decision. The optional focaccia and rye bread with sweet scallion butter was an excellent start to the meal. From the appetizers, we had the kohlrabi cabbage, country terrine, and the scallop crudo. Topped with a mélange of earthy and floral ingredients, the scallop crudo was my favorite from the appetizers. Each bite was creamy and flavorful yet inexplicably light. Sprinkled with cranberries and spiced seeds, the kohlrabi and cabbage salad was also delightful. I especially loved the spiced seed toppings which added the right amount of nuttiness and crunchy texture.Saffron bigoli with leeks and clam sofrito had a slightly boring flavor profile, but the pappardelle verde with lamb sugo was phenomenal. I’m usually not a fan of mint toppings, but it managed to become a perfect complement to the lamb sugo. Subsequent 3 entrées were also amazing. Japanese-inspired soy marinated cod was perfectly tenderized, and its delicate texture paired well with the carrots and leeks soaked in dashi. Forking a concoction of chimichurri sauce, garlic purée, and grilled spring onion with tender pieces of beef teres major was also very satisfying. We finished off the meal with the carrot cake sundae and the lemon poppyseed cake. The dessert section lacked refined taste, but we still appreciated their effort to put something unique and interesting. Overall, a really enjoyable dinner experience at a reasonable price. Would definitely come back some day to try their tasting menu.Parking: Street parking available on Huron Ave Concord Ave"

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
