"Well here I am back at it again. And BayBee this spot did not disappoint. First let say thank you to Roxanne who was our server and she was attentive and very helpful when we asked for suggestions. Big Ups to cooks on the Cooking Staff for serving fresh delicious veggies. Almost like it was farm to table. Ok so let's get into about the spot in detail. We ordered cocktails (Oaxaca Old Fashioned and Smoke and Mirrors). One word . Yea yea I know who goes to a Fusion Mexican Spot and orders an Old Fashion (this guy). Never been a big Margarita person. But I do like Tequila all day everyday. They have a hella variety. Apps we ordered was Queso and chips and Chicharrones. One word........Flavortown. And for Entrees wifey order the Special (Steak chimichanga) and I had the Taco Dinner plate. Now this is where this gets weird.......Beef Brisket and Fried Chicken Tacos. Mannnnnnnnnn they were . Beef Brisket was so damn moist and flavorful. I could've bathed in the marinade and/or seasoning they made for it. And the Fired Chicken Tacos were on Hit. Not salty and with the lime and shredded Cabbage Slaw added to the freshnessness (yes that is a word). So you may ask why the four stars instead of five. If you read my reviews they are more for personal preference vice the establishment itself. Cons: The spot is tucked off on a corner and could miss it if you don't pay attention. Second I am NOT a Tajin fan at all. Most of the food menu requires it. So make sure you ask for no Tajin if you are like me. And Parking is hit or miss. Didn't see a parking lot or parking spaces beside the street. Pros: damn good Cocktail Menu. Food is damn azz good. Wouldn't even know they existed if it wasn't for Stormy Blue (S/O @_StormyBlue) on IG. I REFUSED TO EAT MEXICAN ANYTHING IN VA being a Cali Dude. I have food my Mexican Food Spot away from the Crib. I will be back on a pay day."
