"I first attempted to visit the restaurant and encountered a two-hour wait. Despite available seats at the bar, we were told we couldn't sit there due to only having one bartender who was too busy preparing drinks for the restaurant. Frustrated, we left and decided to try again the following day. This time, I arrived right after work and faced another 45-minute wait for a table. Once seated, it was still crowded, and we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for our waiter to approach us. When we finally got their attention, we were informed that drinks would take some time to arrive because they still had just one bartender. I ordered the zombie drink, which had a consistency reminiscent of Tampico and tasted like sweet juice with hardly any alcohol. We opted for the 2 for $29 deal, which included one appetizer and two entrees. The only decent item we tried was the spinach and artichoke dip, but we had to add salt and pepper to enhance its flavor. I also ordered a Caesar salad, but it didn't arrive until after I had finished my meal, despite my repeated inquiries about it. As for the broccoli and chicken Alfredo, it was genuinely awful—no amount of seasoning could make it palatable. The noodles were overcooked, and the Alfredo sauce tasted like broccoli water. Anticipating trouble, I ordered ribs for my partner to take home, even before trying my own dish. The table next to us complained about their dry ribs, and when my to-go order arrived, I discovered the ribs were indeed very dry. The half rack was tiny, barely larger than my hand, certainly not a proper serving. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever return to Applebee's. They have many issues to address before I would consider dining there again."
