"I am not the biggest fan of cupcakes in general, but after several people have heard that this place is better than Georgetown cupcakes, I had to put this claim on the test. Note that I only tried the Boston position of Georgetown Cupcakes before (and enjoyed it), and I wasn't waiting for two cupcake spots in Georgetown the same day, so take this as a disclaimer. I have two cupcakes, red velvet and strawberry. The red velvet was nowhere near the best red velvet cupcake I've ever had. Although I wasn't too sweet, I wasn't the fan of the cake to the frost ratio (was too much cake in my opinion). I liked the strawberry a little better because the proportion of cake actually had strawberries in it for text and taste contrast. Overall, if you do not like your cupcakes too sweet and with a heavy concrete on the cake, you might like this place - I would say it is a decent take on this style if you can call it that. But it's not my cup of tea, or I guess... cake. And I won't wait 20 minutes."

The cupcakes are really dry and generic sweeter than whatever taste they claim to be. The ambience is beautiful, good place to hang when you can find seats.

Worth the trip to Georgetown! Dirty Chai Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes were our favorites!!! Took home 4 on the plane to share with family who were not with us.

EASILY the best cupcakes in DC. I get these every year for my birthday and they are to die for. Texas sheet cake, Doom, Karen 's birthday, and red velvet are my go-to choices. These are seriously delectable and the perfect treat yo self treat whenever in Georgetown. They also do have multiple gluten-free options. If you really love someone you would buy them these treats.

do they go to baked and wired or georgetown cupcakes? that is the question everyone asks at the visit, so we went to both. I liked baked and wired better, the woman said it was tie and the young said georgetown cupcakes were a bit better, but they were both good. larger cupcake more frosting wins for me. I had red and it was not disappointed. young had carrot cakes and liked it and gattin had cracked more and we all thought it was the best. good coffee too. it is worth going on the main street for a delicious tasty bite. I was super skeptical coming into this place, especially with Georgetown Cupcake taking all the fame from this place. Saw some review that said it's the best cupcake you'll ever have, and I'm afraid it's legit, I've ruined all future cupcakes that I'll eat (it's okay though I hear that you probably shouldn't be eating too many sweets when you get older, probably will extend my life expectancy if I don't try future cupcakes) you MUST try the Dirty Chai Cupcake, that thing was so good I almost forgot I was on planet earth for a sec.

I ordered 1. Dirty Chai Cupcake Chai spiced cake with espresso buttercream2. Cinnamon roll3. Ginger toddy Ginger root tea with honey lemon teaThe dirty Chai Cupcake was delightfully moist and you could taste the chai tea spices. I didn't try the other cupcakes but this was very sweet so sweet tooths will like this treat. Cinnamon roll was exactly what you want in a big soft sweet cinnamon roll. Ginger toddy tasted like the advertised ingredients. No complaints.Staff were friendly and helpful. Not many tables to sit at; seems more of an order to go shop. Cupcakes very pricey but again, quality was good.

This is my favorite cupcake store in DC! Anytime I'm craving a sweet treat, this is the first place I think of (along with it's sister bakery, a Baked Joint). I have received sympathy cupcakes from friends, breakfast cupcakes at work, and evening pick me up cupcakes on my own. These cupcakes are a staple for anybody they even have vegan cookies and cream (very tasty) and gluten free vanilla chocolate chip cupcake options. My favorite original flavor is Strawberry (vanilla cake, pink buttercream, and strawberry filling), but during the summer season, they bring back the Smrufette cupcake (lemon cake, lemon icing, blueberry filling) that I still dream about! Absolutely delicious cupcakes! I wish I bought more to taste all the flavors, but stuck with 2 and also bought cupcakes from here as a souvenir gift. This is probably the best souvenir gift to bring home when you are in Georgetown. Long line out, but it went fast. I've probably waited 20 minutes. Organised system. I ordered cherry blossom with vanilla, cherry blossom with chocolate, carrot cake and red velvet. Everything was delicious and extremely humid. The carrot cake was our favorite. Everything about it was perfection and we gave it 10/10. The cherry blossom with vanilla was also very good and I loved the pieces of cherry inside. This place is worth waiting!!

I really don’t get what the attraction is with this place. Firstly it’s confusing where you order with the cakes on one side of the shop and the drinks on the other side of the shop partitioned by a wall. I asked and you can order drinks both sides which then creates a problem in that all drinks order funnel through to the one person who makes them and with the queue of people going out of the door you can imagine the demand on one person. I waited 20 minutes for a tea and simple black coffee (not a matcha latte made with almond milk with extra froth just a black coffee) with around 20 people just loitering doing the same thing. As for the cupcakes, the pistachio one I ate had not seen a pis...

"I typically always forget to write google reviews but this place deserves every word I have to say. I found this spot because the luggage storage app, bounce, sent me here to hold my bags while I toured apartments for the day. Before I left my bags, I decided to try a quiche which was so much better than expected. Growing up in my father's deli, I tend to have high standards for most food because I can usually recognize good ingredients so safe to say I was definitely pleasantly surprised with my quiche. Around mid-day I fell walking around in NoMa and severely hurt my knee. Rather than continuing my tours for the day I decided to come back to pick up my bags and potentially go to the airport to arrive early for my flight. When I got to Old City Market and Oven, they actually gave me ice for my knee and let me sit downstairs uninterrupted. While I was downstairs the cashier told me to call the number in case I needed anything so they can come down and help because they didn't want me walking up the stairs for anything stupid. To say they were sweet was understatement, the level of care I received felt like I was in one of my dad's restuarants growing up which in my opinion is not something you see these days. I decided to have a pizza while I waited because another customer said it was amazing. Even though I was skeptical due to the paper menu, they really did their big one with that pear pizza. This spot really made my day and it makes me happy establishments at this tier still exist."

"For a special occasion, make a reservation at Michelin star Reverie, a small restaurant inside a Georgetown alley. If you 're lucky, you 'll meet Poppy the Alley Cat that is taken care of by the community, including by the staff at Reverie. My wife dined at Reverie on a Thursday evening. Here 's our experience. 1) Experience: It 's a Michelin star restaurant so expect superb service. It 's clear that the chef is passionate about his craft and his passion is contagious. Every staff member from our server to the chefs who brought out our food, everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. Throughout the stay, we were given wet towels to wash our hands in between snacks. Our water glasses were kept full. If we really loved a dish, our server would point out elements or teach us tips on how to use similar flavors at home. The journey begins with savory snacks and ends with sweet ones. Since the menu changes often, a copy of your dinner 's meu is given to you to take home at the end. It 's a perfect memento, especially if you 're celebrating something special. 2) Food: Reverie 's menu changes, but whatever you 're served will be innovative, fresh, and full of flavor. It 's also a tasting menu. When we went in May 2025, the menu included 17 different bites/dishes. The meal starts and ends with three small bites. The next nine dishes mainly included seafood and one was elk. Every dish is presented on a design-forward plate and came in full color and plated perfectly. A sign of a good restaurant is perfection in every dish and there wasn 't a bad one. We thoroughly enjoyed every single one, but our favorites were the Scallop, which comes in a fun sunchoke cracker sandwich, Hiramasa with juniper and caviar, and the Carolina Gold Rice. 3) Drink: Reverie 's drink menu comes with cocktails named after neighborhoods from around the world, wine, and other options. The Golden Gai is now my wife 's favorite Old Fashioned. She ordered two. For a sweeter refreshing cocktail, get the Old San Juan. For a refreshing, but sherry-forward cocktail, I recommend the Roma Notre. The dinner begins with chilled tea for all and it is very tasty. Savor it. At the end, you 'll have an opportunity to order more tea. Each blend is unique. I recommend any of it. 4) Price: It 's $245 a person for the tasting menu and additional prices for drinks, but for a quality dinner experience, it could be more expensive. We found it to be a fair price, especially for a special occasion. 5) Space: It 's beautiful! The design is not ornate, but rather simple, making it classy. There are two unisex restrooms in the back. When you sit down, you 're offered small stools to place your phones, belongings, etc. 6) Neighborhood: Inside an alley, there 's much to explore nearby from other top restaurants, cafes, and historic homes. We usually find street parking nearby by the Georgetown Waterfront Park. Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
